Everyone supported the flyover, its just that you bottled it before it got up in the air.

 

My local area as a kid, Hare and Hounds as a 16/17 year old or the Kings Arms on Highgate, upstairs and you knew the landlord would tell someone’s dad if you misbehaved.

 

Mine was the Queens at Daisy Hill. If there was a raid they usually went to the Kings first so we had warning !

 

Now a week has passed, I have moved forward from my "past caring" comment in angst at the Exeter capitulation.

This match has been tailored perfectly for a City win, primarily for the following three reasons;

1) We will have had a gap of over a full week since our last match by the time tomorrow night comes around. This, could be argued, is just what the doctor ordered following our dismal run, and if Derek Adams has anything about him he will have used this time wisely to prepare for tomorrow night.

2) The above is a stark contrast to Colchester, who played on Sunday afternoon in a tough battle against top League 1 opposition, meaning they will have had just 2 days between matches.

3) Not only have Colchester only got 2 days off between matches, they're having to travel well over 200 miles on a long coach journey in that gap, whilst recovering from the Wigan game. They won't be 100% physically and we will have a considerable conditioning advantage tomorrow night.

Given the above, and looking at the league positions, and our home advantage, it literally is a must win. No other outcome is acceptable whatsoever tomorrow night other than a victory.

 

Serious question Jon. With some on another thread questioning why the club isn't up for sale, how do we even know what his asking price is?

 

It is a MUST win, but we all know from the usual script how they go. I'm going with a one nil loss, with Colchester parking the bus after a first half goal.

 

Always happens to the team supposedly rested… wouldn’t surprise me one jot if they messed this one up tomorrow!

Maybe I’ve just been a city fan too long!

 

The debt of this clubs needs to be considered too though. We’re probably about break even, whilst Wigan and Blackpool likely 10s Of millions in the red

 

Colchester's Freddie Sears scored a cracking goal in the FA cup defeat to Wigan. I hope that if O'Donnell is the chosen goalie he is prepared for shots from outside the penalty area.

Massive game tomorrow we need to be at our best going forward as we all have seen this season our defence/keeper are top 7 and the stats prove that it's just in front of goal we're really really poor and all too often we end up settling for draws whether we take the lead or lose it

There's this massive gap between the top 8 and how often they score and how often we score and whoever we end up playing up top needs to change that asap or we'll continue to lose touch with the play offs

 

We lose this and we could be in the bottom 4 by Christmas

 

Be better if this game was called off in my opinion. We’d have a better chance of winning in the new year when players are fit and or we have new recruits.
We simply cannot afford to drop points tonight

 

Or the players turn up for once, we win the game- somehow and get the points in the bag.
With the onset of winter and the heavier pitches, we could pick up more injuries and there is no guarantee that re-inforcements will arrive fit and ready to go . I must admit though, that the fireside is quite appealing with this wet / windy weather. Game on , i will be there, need to vent my anger at something.

 

Bit daft wanting an enforced break. Whats to say it would help us ? If we don't pick up four points from the next three games we are in real trouble.

Got mine. Sorted. Though I doubt we have the technology to make these work as they have to scan the QR code in. Unless they can do that with the same one they use on the tickets we are stuffed.

 

I have too but we are slowly slipping into a dictatorship as a country.
