To add to this im pretty sure its been reported that Bradford City has had some offers already. Not sure why the sales didn’t go through; if it was because they didn’t meet the price or whether the funds couldn't be proven.

so I totally agree it will be sold as some point, probably sooner rather than later.

 

Agreed. The club is organically growing, building sponsors in the local and wider community. It's IMO trying to stand on its own feet, without the input of Rupp.

It's marketing, its PR, its trying to capture and gain retention of fans (3 for 2 in December games) is notable.

All to the backdrop of silence from that shite owner.

 

And another thing, where are all the German sponsors through his business contacts? Surely he could be plugging for a lot more commercial activity if he gave a hoot.

Didn't Bolton own 2 training grounds as well or were they sold during the admin era? As we've heard many times on here, we don't own anything so the attraction is the football league membership. In reality a rich benefactor could buy the club and do a MK Dons on us, but I can't see that happening. Maybe potential investors will wait to see what the arrangement with the stadium is before diving in, or equally jump in now and take part in negotiations.

Anyway back to the match. I'm hoping the few days off over the weekend has them raring to go. We just need to scrape a win to build a bit of confidence.

 

I can't believe any German company wouldn't be falling over themselves to sponsor a fourth tier provincial English club.

 

Blackpool sold for around £11m. They have as part of the ground a hotel, gym and NHS offices which bring in £1m+ in rent from tenants with good covenants. This business alone is worth £11m - effectively getting the club, ground and training facilities for free.

Wigan's sale was under £3m. With vastly better stadium and facilities than ours.

The problem we have is that no sensible business person will pay what our owner wants. You don't get a Blackpool valuation without having any assets - Indeed in our case approaching a £500k liability to rent a stadium that is not owned by the business. We're worth far less than Wigan.

 

Especially given the high helicopter ownership in BD8

 

Get a lot of sports cars and super cars racing up and down Manningham Lane though.
