Thanks for the years of support. Without JT there may not be a BCAFC now.

R.I.P. Jack Tordoff and thoughts with your family.

RIP. Rename it as the Jack Tordoff stand. He was so much more than a sponsor.

True, however giving it Jacks name would probably “ stick” as opposed to JCT …….. That’s too corporate and too impersonal imho.

We don’t have many off the pitch legends but Jack is one of them for this club.

RIP Jack. Bradford City will be forever grateful.

He rebuilt that stand after the fire, it would be a fitting tribute to someone who has supported the club as a fan and financially through thick and thin.

Thought it was paid for by a payment from west Yorkshire council that was abolished and gave the surplus of £2.4 million to City to rebuild the ground?

Not knocking Jack though who has been a great supporter of the club,

Yes I believe you are correct, I was more thinking in terms of being owner at the time and probably securing the funding at the most difficult of times for the club.

Very few like him, a giant Bradfordian who shrewdly built up a business empire. He will be sorely missed and the support he gave to the Club and sport in the area at large will never be forgotten. I remember his rally cross years a tradition that survives with his sons I think...doesn't Rupp have similar motor sport interest (;)).Such a larger than life character who lived a great life. RIP JCT OBE,MBE.

Great supporter of the club financially that he was, and we all appreciate that, I think you are pushing it with that statement. A certain Stafford Heginbotham had probably more to do with the ground being rebuilt than Jack and it was paid for by a grant from the defunct West Yorkshire County Council.

I appreciate Jacks' efforts but if we are starting to name stands after past Chairmen, then Stafford should be top of the list for saving the club not once, but twice. Without that St Georges Hall meeting in the mid sixties that he set up there would have been no BCFC in most of our lifetimes.

JCT have been synonymous with City for decades now and Jack deserves recognition for this and his own personal input into the club. Good to see the club honour this with the naming of the suite.
