My biggest problem with this isn't the fact we've named a young coach. It's the same worry I'm sure a lot of others have, how much more is Edin going to be involved in 1st team matters.

I was starting to get optimistic, we were linked with a couple of good names. Then Masons resignation which I wasn't too bothered about but this was followed with a terrible appointment IMO. Roll on the kicking of a ball...

I think a lot of the anger has been directed at the owners rather than the coaches, and rightly so. We could have made this appointment the minute after Grayson left and there wouldn't have been as much grumbling, but we've been given hype and fecked about with names for 7 weeks.

No anger should be directed at these coaches in any capacity, we should be behind the triumvirate. It's the owners that should be taking 100% of the brunt here after we've been built up so many times just to come up short every time.

If this turns out to be a masterstroke then great, congrats Edin, keep working that magic. If it doesn't, then Edin has to take the blame, not the coaches.

    Way too simple

Clearly he's rubbish, he hasn't won us a single point yet

I think the only ones who can be mouth breathers are ones who don't have huge concerns over what's transpired over the last 24 hours, feels to me that Edin is firmly taking over every important decision at the club, and these pieces of news are the final piece of his jigsaw.

Doesn't mean every City fan won't want Collins to succeed though.

Instead of moaning and groaning get behind the team and support! Yes its a period of uncertainty but that doesnt mean were going to sink like a stone sometimes change is good and we should buckle up and see where it takes us! These so called *top coaches* have failed elsewhere so what makes people certain they were bound to succeed at VP, an orient fan on twitter mentions collins work ethic as top notch leaving everything on the pitch if adapts this style into the coaching game we should be okay hopefully!

Are you for real @brisbanebantams@brisbanebantams, you usually argue a good case for your posts but that is total nonsense.

I am not sure what Rack and Ruin have to do in order for you to change your mind, no matter. If we succeed it will still have been an enormous gamble if it doesn’t we will be in league 2. At that point these two will bail out and take whatever they can get. The last time we had someone gambling with our club we nearly lost it altogether.

Yep and we did not get the best out of them after January or did we and they were found wanting? Also - how well do they know the new recruits and any further additions and I presume some players they do know will be asked to move on to make way.So it is not quite as black and white as Edin would have us believe.

Abbott's record as a L1 manager, stands up as one of the better ones - particularly given the poor budget he had at Carlisle. Their fans and I know a couple personally, speak highly of them

If there is a good working atmosphere, any skill shortages, can be compensated for and I certainly don't expect to see the largely poor attitude and application we saw for the last six months for the season

I'll be delighted with Top 8, good footie and progress of most of the young players. That isn't lacking ambition - we've been down here since 2004 and it needs more than a quick fix to build us up for the next stage

What's wrong with mouth breathers? It happens. Particularly when you're running up hill.

As an occasional mouth breather I feel deeply offended even slightly traumatised by the stigma #metoo #mouthbreathersunite

I think there should be more mouth breathers on TV. We are not fairly represented.

ah sound, as long as he works hard. that's all that matters. no way we can fail.

like the coaching equivalent of Kai Bruncker - hopeless but at least he tries really hard.

Worked with them on the training pitch, will know them personally. May have watched tapes back after games. It isn't hard.

I am prepared to give them one more season before passing a negative judgement. They have made mistakes, also made some very good decisions.

I think it's been a charade Bronco,I think Rahic knew he couldn't afford a "name" manager so the recruitment process has been going through the motions whilst knowing he was taking a cheap option of promoting from within.

Has Greg now added more responsibility to his job by taking responsibility for on field performances? He said prior to his health scare that he wasn't interested in management again after his spell at Carlisle.

Here's hoping the players and fans get behind Collins and turn this into a positive appointment.Young hungry players, young hungry coaches?

Hope we add a few more players to complete the team!
