Weren’t the last two internal appointments Chris Hutchings and David Wetherall? They worked out well.

To be honest Bronco, I didn't "want" to believe that, we are Bradford City, a name in league one, 18,000 crowds and a genuine expectation of a top six finish each year.

Now, all I can do is believe that this was in fact the case and all these experienced managers have met with the lunatics who've taken our asylum and left thinking why the feck would I work for them.

There's no middle ground with this appointment, it's either a massive success or a spectacular failure. This is truly a sad day in the history of BCAFC. Laughing stock doesn't even cover it.

 

But Rahic said they had a hand in the signings so it's been these three for weeks Rahic has been pretending we would get a decent coach to get as many season tickets as possible

 

The signings have signed as I believe they've been promised to start.

Edin might as well be manager because Collins has no say. He's a Yes man!

Park we’ve appointed the U18s coach as our new head coach. BPA wouldn’t appoint him. We’re a league 1 football team. The only self fulfilling thing here is that ER owns the club.

Whilst a bit of a surprise no one of the forum has worked with Collins or seen how the players react to his instruction and guidance so it is very harsh to call him a joker.

The search for a new coach has clearly been a challenge and it is easy to judge that other candidates would be better however it is a massive and indeed courageous decision to appoint from within known the outcry this would cause.

Recruitment already has been more positive and proactive than for many a year; give the guy and the new team a chance and come May 2019 you may be pleasantly surprised.

 

Shocker as a lower league football club appoint unknown coach starting out his career.

 

The only manager to be successful since 1999-2000 was PP. 2011-2016

All big managerial names at the times they were appointed, all garbage.
What do you know about Collins that is putting you off?
Lack of experience? or the style of football he wants to coach the team how to play? His understanding of the game?
We know nothing of his qualities so take a breather, let him stamp his mark on the squad then if we get to the end of August and we have no points and are out of the cup then vent your spleen accordingly, but if we are in round 2 of the cup with a few wins on the board then we can go on optimistic about the team we have in place.

 

I'm "Edin" out too, to the beach, been an interesting morning, thanks for all the input fellas, now time to relax and pretend none of this ever happened. (Will say though, I will wait and see on the outcome, could ba a stroke of genius)
