If we continue with this 4-2-3-1 we're not going to lose many but also won't win many.

Without Cooke we're more suited to 4-4-2 but it will be interesting to see how Cook and Rowe play together.

I'd be going 4-4-2 with Watt, Sutton, Vernham and Evans in the midfield four. Crankshaw is still too raw and has a bit to learn.

Why did Crankshaw fall over?

He's not produced much since joining for me. Paid for potential rather than performance and hasn't shown enough to be starting every week but then we could say the same about others too.

 

They probably decided to rest him seeing as their reserve midfielder was good enough to give us the run around.

 

You don't win battles by going backwards, this lot go backwards far too often.

 

He has not been starting since Curle took over. I think Curle has been picking sides and formations to tighten them up and make harder to beat, rather than the cavalier approach under Kewell
