You're too hung up on pace Fordy, we'll probably soon replace Clarke with someone quicker but Clarke's game has never been about pace. Rowe isn't that pacy but apart from his shooting power he's more quick feet and speed of thought.

It's worth watching his goals on YouTube playing for ARC Fylde, there's quite a few. Mainly 2018/19.

 

We are in danger of turning into a well run club here! Novak out for potentially remainder of the season, Cook on loan for the remainder of the season as a replacement.

Well done City a sensible club to minimise the loss of our leading goal scorer.

 

If its true I don't think it's a bad replacement for Novak. We probably could have done better with a bit more time but we could certainly do worse as we've seen very recently.

He might not play much anyway if we keep Rowe up top so as a back up he's about as good as it gets in league two I'd suggest.

Andy Cook was a prolific scorer in non league for Barrow and Tranmere, didnt do too bad in league 1 for Walsall either.

I would say decent replacement for the injured Novak.

If I remember rightly he is a bit of a unit, some may say overweight looking!

If this transfer officially takes place we have done well to replace Novak's injury absence.
Big target men are sought after in the window and Cook is more mobile than Donaldson for starters.

think cook is a good option. Rowe's volley last night came from an aerial duel in front of him.. cook will provide those drop downs for Rowe to pummel home from 25 all week. Cook can score a few himself as well.

If Cook signs, it's not necessarily a replacement for Novak due to injury.
Throughout the recent upturn in fortunes, one of the things that stands out as a slight negative, is our inability to win a high % of aerial duals and holding up the ball, particularly up top.
Cook, could add this to our ammunition.
I like the strength, swagger and the self-believe that Rowe, Novak and Cook would bring to our attack.
We certainly wouldn't be bullied at this level, centre-half's wouldn't relish the thought of playing us.

And once Cavanan breaks into the team, they'll be a polished aerial steeliness at the back.

If scoring was a film, then Rowe would be Liam Neilson, watch when he scores, he keeps a deadpan expression and a shrug of his shoulders, as though it's just another day at the office and to be expected haha.
