Match Thread Away to Southend Tuesday 26th January at 7.00pm

I haven't missed our commentary team in the slightest....those Southend blokes were pretty damn good.

 

Great result.

 

If we do not secure T&S with a contract soon, some other club will come in for them.

McCall achieved just 13 points in 16 games, these two have just more than doubled our points total in 7 games.

I was referring to the amount of effort put in by these players for Bradford City so far this season

 

That was a great result, games in hand on a few teams above us also.
Something like 11 attempts on goal and 8 on target- very un-City like but shows how well they played(and probably how poor southend's defence was).

Didn't bring on the subs until late on and considering the 2 games a week stretch we have, very impressive.
How on earth is this team looking fitter than when Stuart was here.
Very damning on previous regime.
I know City have had a few weeks off but they look more up for a game than they have for years.

 

No point sacking McCall. Noone could do any better...

 

Broncs what they do now sets them up for life... I get it and they are refreshing change to old school stuff/ways of which I am from. we /they will be tested but lets really enjoy now.....

 

Yeah another good listen tonight. Two decent commentaries in a row now.

 

Lots of positives tonight. A few negatives too - we created a few issues for ourselves at the back at times, but i think that was largely down to individual mistakes on a poor pitch in bad weather.

We were the better team. We found ways to navigate the brief spells where we weren’t in control. We showed great spirit and tenacity again, and Rowe will clearly be an asset. I look at this team and think that with 3 or 4 of the right changes, we could be top 3 material. That’s an amazing turnaround.

Hornby looks better than ROD to me. Watt and Sutton look a cracking partnership in this system.

We need at least 1 quality wide forward with pace and a bit of trickery. Just to add more of that cutting edge.

No real complaints tonight.

Great result. We started well fell off after we scored but came out much better in the second half.
Despite their injury problems I thought Southend made a good game of it. They should have tucked the chance away early in the second half. That could've changed the game.
But as they pushed forward it left the gaps. Evans and Rowe finished with aplomb.
3 points. Job done.

 

Spot on Dave unfortunately it’s just a prelude to when we get our first negative result

 

Just seems that type. Can spank the ball, and also hold it up. I also suspect, like Shearer, he can dish it out with elbows and everything else when needed. Lets hope he's as prolific!
