it does and i've just finished a 60+ hour week in the hospital and on the wards. i'd love to be able to watch the match this afternoon to try and forget the week and not think of the week to come but it's not to be..

So the EFL has made the decision in conjunction with the referee's report.

Not only will City have incurred costs in preparing for the match, but I wouldn't be surprised if we have to cover Crawley's costs as well.

And it would be just like the EFL to fine City, as well, for Ryan's clarification as to who was responsible for the postponement.

you don't have to cover costs unless the away club travels. hence the early postponement.

Genuinely pissed off. The weather is milder, as forecast, the roads are fine. This game should be on.

Yes, but there are reports that Crawley had travelled, although I don't know if those reports are correct.

Or the EFL could have made the right decision and we both would have had that privilege of watching it. Your are right, we move on. As does the incompetence of the EFL.

Since the BBC ditched the Met. Office and went with Meteo who are based in Holland their forecasts have been rubbish.

I think they have to get half way before the costs happen.

The decision to call the game off, looks dafter by the minute. Hindsight is a wonderfull thing, though.I live between Queensbury and Thornton and people are getting about on most roads with ease. Surely the 100 yds between Manningham lane and the player entrance at Valley parade could have been cleared. The rest of the Roads down from the m606 were fine.

Really frustrated by this, as it currently stands the game should be on. Madley stated he was not an expert on these things so it sounds as though the decision was made 100s of miles away by the EFL...
I can understand why there might have been concerns 24 hrs ago, but the EFL has to allow for and pursue more flexible solutions. We will have gone nearly a month without a game for no good reason. Zero covid cases and a perfectly good pitch.
Why can't we push this game back 24hrs to Sunday? Why cant we quickly arrange for a midweek game with another team available?
Last weekend Villa v Spurs was called off due to a Villa Covid outbreak. The EPL brought the Spus v Fulham game forward instead. There is no reason why we can't do it at this level and the EFL should be pushing this if the season finishes on time

The season will finish on time no matter what or clubs will have to pay rebate back to the TV companies.

City will have to play more games in a short period of time.

Why not play Scunthorpe on Tuesday. Free date for both clubs, five other matches on that night, not an overnight stay, an hour and a half drive at the most from VP, temperature forecast to be 10/11 degrees Celsius.

As it stands, we're the only game in the country postponed due to weather, despite having a playable pitch. I think its fair enough to be pissed off and ask 'why?'

Totally agree we need to be so much more flexible to get the games in. Normally the police object to short notice rearranging but it’s not the case with no fans. Fulham were told to go to Spurs at short notice after Villa pulled out so no reason why we can’t get the Scunthorpe game played Tuesday.

The main issue today is that its Scunny v Barrow. Grimsby v Southend. Teams will be closer to us or in Scunny's case overtake us.

Scores on the doors are better than games in hand.

This game is still on according to BBC Sport "Bradford (Park Avenue)15:00 Chester", and I can tell you we've had far more snow up here than down at Valley Parade.
