Bit unfair. We probably weren't scouting for a keeper!

Let's wait for the first couple of actual signings and see how those go.

It's a stop gap signing which needed to be made quickly and cheaply
    Nothing to see here

Very underwhelmed at a 22 yo GK who can't even get in the Stan's 1st XI

I doubt Goalkeeping additions were even on the agenda till ROD got injured so the fact we have moved speedily to put backup in place should be applauded.
Recruitment of the original targeted positions would surely be higher on City's priorities regardless.
We all know the recruitment team are under pressure to deliver in this window after all we are far from safe numerically.

What a best keeper we can find is from BPA.

Don't you think that a massive risk if we far from being safe from the drop?

There's a massive risk in everything our club does.

I don't think we were looking for a first choice GK.

Richard O'Donnell is the number one, and Sam Hornby is by reputation a good second string keeper at this level.

I'm hopeful that we've heard rumblings from Leeds that he has some talent and probably shouldn't have dropped out of league football - that would make sense.

Exactly until RODs injury diagnosis we had two keepers.
Events forced the club's hand at a crucial time of recruitment.
Why would they bring someone else in on good money just to make up numbers on the bench and more to the point which experienced keeper would settle for being number 2 unless they were mercenary of course.

I can see a keeper coming in to give ROD competition - we got that lad from Portsmouth last season and he played a couple - but to come in as number three?

It's not gonna happen, and 99 percent of the time it's not going to be necessary.

I can only think of three reasonable circumstances when a number one would be replaced between the sticks.
Injury or serious loss of form and the usual call up for the Tin Pot Trophy games.

Maybe he signed for Bradford PA thinking it was City and ever since then he's been left to sort out what was his dream move.

From what I've read, he does seem to have been highly thought of but it appears he has had a persistent wrist injury that has hampered his progress.
