No point in discussing targets if finances aren’t discussed as well. We need a striker but without knowing rough finances how will the third party know what level to look at

 

The squad clearly needs an injection of talent and leadership. But even with the squad where it is in terms of quality and depth, real questions have to be asked of McCalls performance. Too much of what we’re seeing in terms on the pitch can be tracked back to how the team is set up.

Look at Carlisle - we know full well the capabilities Devine and Patrick. If they were to come back here tomorrow, no one would be doing a dance. And yet, Carlisle are the top end of the league. 352 simply doesn’t work and yet he keeps reverting to it. Its madness. Trying to play expansively - albeit doing it very badly - whilst being at the foot of this league, is also madness.

 

You have to wonder what he saw when he watched their mid week game

 

first thing he needs to do, especially at home, is get himself back on the touchline. show some leadership. don't stand 20 yards up in the stand with arms folded just accepting what is going on. bark orders, get in their faces, get at the ref and the opposition. at the moment, it doesn't seem like McCall has the stomach for the fight.

I know this club is a basket case at the best of times but that 12 month contract extension is another level of bat shit crazyness. Gonna make our CEO look decidedly second rate if he has to sack him.

If we sack him the compo money comes out of the player wages pool so less money to spend so the extended contract will be very punishing on the club,
