Thankfully, we only have 7 more league games before January.

My only point is that a loss used to pee me off and make me rant. Now I have no emotional reaction at all. I'm probably like hundreds of others. Thats how low this club had sunk.

It is exactly how I felt tonight, when we went up I was starting to feel that tinge of optimism, only for it to be snatched away before the end of the half, I was not at all surprised when we went 2-1 down. Just expect it now, I don’t get too excited when we start well because I know this team will not keep it up and will let us down.

I recall after the Bolton loss listening to SM’s comments on the radio, and he said we were desperately unlucky with the penalty miss, that they only had one shot on goal, and we were completely dominant and we have nothing to worry about playing like that.

Many of us were correctly sceptical about the comments in that interview and we heard something worryingly similar after the Barrow loss.

Fast forward a couple of months and we could be in the relegation zone tonight. Yes, we’re only a third through the season, and yes, it’s possible to turn it around from here (look at Bolton’s recent run for example, and Plymouth the other year from a similar position) but in order to do so SM must go. We need fresh ideas and we need someone with experience.

If someone puts together a montage of the ridiculous things Stuart has said in post match interviews it might turn out to be the most entertaining part of the season.

I hate writing this post but what can we do to force some action?

Ryan hasn’t got the balls and probably doesn’t want to look an idiot after the extension fiasco.

Rupp is sat in Germany and probably don’t even realise the huge danger that we are in.

McCall is caught up in his own stubbornness, he hasn’t a clue how to stop this rot.

And us as fans are sat at home suffering on iFollow, being completely ignored or dismissed as having a a huge over reaction.

I’m sorry, Stuart McCall is not a long term solution he is not any solution!!

    MCCALL OUT

I was thinking the same. I mean everything is so wrong.

Firstly McCall needs to go but no way that will happen given the contract. I don’t blame him for signing - if we are stupid enough to offer him it then really, what is happening right now is what we deserve.

Secondly we’ve just inserted a new CEO who was part of offering the new contracts to a failing manager. Does he have the credentials to lead this club? Who knows, but there’s little experience to suggest he does. That said, we just gave him the job and contract so unless there’s a term written into it, this won’t change.

So, two pretty major influential people within the club who are very likely to be going nowhere which begs the question - what can we really do?

For me - I’ll be stopping paying me £10 per game (not a season ticket holder) and be done with it for a few weeks till hopefully something provides me with some hope that things will improve. Fair enough, it’s a bit like jumping ship, however this isn’t the club I recognise. Only in colours, history and location. Outside of that, it’s rotten to the core and the best I see from this season is the most thinnest of scrapes above the relegation zone.

I hope I’m back watching in the coming weeks but at the moment, the dross we have to watch is simply making me angry and miserable and not worth a single penny or minute of my time.

Please can folk share the details of the after match interview as really keen to hear what dross we are fed after that.

I've officially given up with McCall, I sincerely hope that the club is actively searching for a replacement and that Parky is top of that list. There is still time to make some changes in January and we need to take action now.

Forget our league position, consecutive defeats or the fact that we have a team who don't look like they've ever seen a football before, let alone know how to use it.

McCall offering Dylan Mottley-Henry a contract should provide enough evidence for dismissal for gross misconduct on its own.

Bowyer had this same back 4 and 'keeper, minus Hosannah for Mellor (arguably weaker) solid last season.

McCall knows this is last chance saloon for him in terms of management jobs, he won't go anywhere quickly as he'd have to give up his compensation package so the questions are (a) can we afford to sack him and still back a new manager in January? (b) can we afford not to sack him and go into non-league football?

He's not getting sacked. Not a chance in hell. Maybe he walks, but I don't think that'll happen either.

If we don't sack him and get relegated the club will fold, simple as. feck the cost of getting rid, just do it and give us an actual chance at survival, at least then we'd have tried to survive rather than tootling along contentedly into the abyss

McCall meeting a third party on Monday to discuss what he wants, finances, etc.. whereas other clubs have already done this. Salford sent their requirements and dossier to scouts and agents for what they want to recruit in January 6 weeks ago.
