I've gone from getting a sense of nervous excitement a few days before a big game. To actually dreading even sitting in front of my laptop to watch it. We're that bad that it's painful to watch, there's little to no enjoyment or entertainment. I look forward to visiting the dentist more than I do watching City at the moment.

My interest has been dwindling almost weekly. We've gone from a club that looked to be on the rise, to one in freefall. I've been an active supporter for a very long time. So if I'm feeling like this, then how are the less committed fans that can take it or leave it taking all of this? Combine our poor performances and lack of entertainment value with a nasty economic downturn and I think they'll be lucky to get 6-7k season tickets sold next season.

To be honest that’s a lot of what we’re missing (closing down and energy) so I would agree Sutton.

Either a thrashing or an unlucky loss.

We can only dream of competing with the basement division's big boys like Cheltenham Town.

It's a very sad state of affairs, not to say embarrassing, that most of the fans, and McCall given his comments today in T&A, are so pessimistic about our chances of securing even a single point at home to Cheltenham.

We have fallen behind the likes of Salford, Harrogate and Newport now and I genuinely feel we would struggle in the National League at the moment.

Herr Rupp as a great deal to answer for, for the way he has allowed our beloved football club to sink to such depths, after inheriting a club that was in such a good position to continue the progress achieved under the previous owners.

I spoke to Mark Lawn a few weeks back and he was distraught that all his hard work and that of Phil Parkinson had been tossed away.

Im actually intrigued now as to how Mccall will "play it safe" tomorrow.

So far this season in the majority of games we have played five at the back. Along with those five defenders we have played one sometimes two defensive midfielders.

In our last 3 defeats we have managed what five attempts at goal, and on our way out of the cup on saturday we played the last 60 minutes with affectively one up front as samuels and DMH had been moved wide to stop the midfield being over run.

How much more safe can we get?

How anybody reads that T&A article today and thinks that's a guy that has a clear understanding of what he's doing is beyond me.

Even this bit is funny.....'Stuart McCall may be forced to abandon his attacking principles to go safety first in City’s current predicament'......Attacking principles??? Only 4 teams have scored fewer than we have!

McCall said: “If teams are watching us now, they’ll look at the Exeter game, at Salford and Saturday and think, ‘we’ll let them have the ball to a certain point, they’ll give it away and we can counter-attack them’ - That's what they've done since you became a manager, it's just that we're even more toothless going forward.

It's taking everything I have not to unload a stupid amount of cash on a Cheltenham win tomorrow. I can't see where either a shot or a clean sheet is coming from, let alone a goal.

and it looks like Captain McCall didn't pay enough attention in his NBCD training and in particular the Damage Control classes.

McCall said in his interview they haven't done any prep for the game today because one of the players is 50/50 so because he doesn't know if he's going to be available or not, they haven't trained because if he isn't available, they would have to set up differently. What the actual hell.

Perfectly sums me up as well. Cannot see this team getting any results this side of xmas. January window had better be a good one or I can see us playing NL football next season. Imagine the game V Scunthorpe on 01 May 2021 being a relegation 6 pointer? Shudders.

Could we not just get a young lad to play in that magical position in training or the player who would play should this player be unavailable? I don’t get it.

    Bizarre RE the training.

on those stats posted at the start it looks like Cheltenham are always the first to score, whereas we often fail to score and don’t fight back once we’ve conceded.

Duff has set up Cheltenham well and they look automatic promotion material to me.

Really aren’t looking forward to this game and am doing so even less after Stuart’s comments about changing the set up. We are incapable of shutting teams out and we don't create chances from open play.

I genuinely fear a spanking here. 0-3 or so. Please prove me wrong, lads.

I read that and hadn't listened so assumed there must have been some kind of misunderstanding, but no he actually did say it.

It's an unbelievable thing to say and do. Borders on negligence.

The only small bit of hope I have is seeing Cheltenham's defeats this season including Morecambe, Grimsby and Oldham.

However I see nothing other than a comfortable away win.

Interesting, just checked our new CEOs twitter page - last post is still St Helens winning the Super League final last Friday

Someone is hiding underneath a big rock ;)

As for tomorrow, I honestly have no idea what to predict - with injuries it could be one of the weakest sides we have ever put out! (should add, without injuries it would still be one of weakest sides we have ever put out!!)
