The thought of a strikeforce to pick from Guthrie, Clarke, Novak and Donaldson is a scary thought, even to question the merits of renewing my season ticket!

Already decided for me one empty seat in the upper sunwin
Was 50/50 till they re signed Clarke (again) that just swayed it for me along with all the uncertainty surrounding Vaughan can't see where the goals are coming from
Quick walk round to Brighouse Town for me next season

Nothing has to have gone ‘massively wrong’ if a current L2 standard player isn’t realistically getting into a top 6 Premier League side in the next couple of seasons. A loan makes more sense but not, given this wait for the window to open.

Why offer him a deal for 2 years with an option of a 3 rd.

It's not as if Wolves have been rubbish for years. It they rated him then they would be doing what West Ham are doing with Cullen and loan him out.

Still think it will be a loan deal.

I think it will be loan too. However, I wonder why not confirmed then like the Wolves youngster who has gone to Coventry on loan?

Because maybe a player is out going.

So, it will be we are letting x player go... then a few hours later welcome Watt.

This is how the club works.. tries to fool fans.

I think it's a done deal already and has been for weeks.

A bit of an over reaction. Wolves are a top 8 PL club. It's a hard task to break into their match day 18.

Usually the big clubs offer them deals so they can sell them for a bit of cash if someone further down wants them. Keeps the finances ticking over.
Not saying we will pay good money for him but it’s done by all top clubs these days. Chelsea do it a lot to raise money so they can pass FFP. They know full well they won’t get in the first xi

If the rumours are true and we are binning off Vaughan to save on wages then it is an absolute disgrace.

The club have learned absolutely nothing from Eoin Doyle - we were humiliated. Quality strikers come at a premium. Quality strikers win promotion. Quality strikers need teams building around them.

City have had 3 legitimate goal scorers in the last 20 years since the PL days. Windass, Thorne and Wells (Wyke debatable). That is absolutely atrocious.

It’s just a rumour at the moment but I would be more than disappointed if it happens without an equally decent striker replacement

But there is a salary cap for all teams? It has levelled the playing field so it is about managing that budget. If he goes to Tranmere then there is no excuse.

If Vaughan is off, it has echos of the Doyle situation in that he may just not want to play for his employers... It happens... Well actually it happened under Rahic & Rupp and maybe its happening under Rupp now....

Who knows. But us as supporters are the ones who lose out most here in terms of a decent forward(s) at division 4 level.

I don't know where this rumour about Vaughan leaving has come from and even whether there is any truth to it at all. But if he really does leave VP, it has nothing to do with the new salary cap. It might be that the club wants to save a few quid for its own purposes but I hope they don't try and spin it that it's a consequence of the salary cap.

As I said above, could be also that employee does not want to play for employer. See Doyle.
