Marcelo Bielsa to replace Heckingbottom at L###s. Heckingbottom to move up the road to us. This is what Edin has been waiting for!

 

So far this morning then we have joint managers Hopkins And Heckingbottom hope they can find away to work together

 

I would welcome either of those. Mr Hopkin certainly owes us one!
Heckingbottom would be my first choice though, and if we managed to land him, the wait would have been worth it, in my opinion

 

Hopkin's agent tweeted that Hopkin meeting Bradford City representatives at the weekend for talks over the head coach vacancy. Hopkin left Livingston yesterday after turning down a new contract.

 

The trouble with Hopkins there are bad memories attached to him that make it hard for us to imagine him being a good manager. But his stats are very good

 

Well if it is Hopkin this time we wouldn’t be signing a Scottish club legend it would be a Scottish club leg end

 

I hope it isn't him purely because it'll wind me up no end the amount of people who insist on getting his name wrong and referring to him as Hopkins like when he was here as a player.

 

Not at all. It's based on what Hearts sold him for. The guesswork is you saying not much of a fee. My estimate is based on fact and previous sale value. Yours on a belief that the club are doing everything on the cheap. Fact is since these owners took over they have spent in the region of a million quid on transfer fees, and that excludes any "loan fee" they may have paid WHU for Cullen.

They won't get everything right, and they certainly won't get it right inside two years. I'm prepared to give them time to make their model work without the need for instant gratification, which I get from beer.

An agent tweeted about Hopkin, not his agent. If it were his agent he wouldn't be tweeting "I believe" meetings are set up with BCAFC as he would know. Hopkin is apparently an old style manager so won't fit the model, Heckinbottom is a coach so would. Not sure Heckinbottom has actually done anything, basically he got Barnsley promoted with Johnson's squad and has failed at Leeds (but then everyone fails at Leeds). Of the names on show though he is probably worth a punt.

WE have four players coming back from injury who would have been in the match day squad last year and could have affected our last half dozen matches. They comfortably replace the loans with the exception of Warnock who is class.

 

Biesla at Leeds, really? Would be a great appointment for them.

Heckingbottom for us? Meh

 

Hopkin is a head coach not a manager and also been in charge of the development squads at Albion Rovers and Morton ,so fits the criteria that Edins looking for does it not ?

 

Hopkin has performed miracles with a small squad and budget. That’s the bottom line the owners will be looking at.

 

Work with some Livi fans. They reckon he’s got his sights on coming here.

I'd be happier with Hopkin than say McCann. He's done a decent job north of the border, might be able to do similar with our club. I'd be a bit surprised if he didn't fancy a crack at the SPL though having done so well to get Livingston there. As regards his injury blighted spell with us in the prem, not reslly sure why that would bother me now in 2018 if it was to be him in charge.

 

If he does come here, he may bring Raffa De Vita with him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Totally agree reading some of informed posts on here he could just be the right fit for the model.
