Martin Lewis has said there will be clarification on the self employed situation before the end of the week, they are ironing out the details.

If your trade isn't essential, even if it is to YOU as it's your job, I'd say it's a no for now.

 

Would have been 100x worse without the allowed exercise. Imagine being a single parent of 3 or 4 kids in a flat, murders & suicides would have outnumbered virus deaths!

All in all l am fine with it, cycle ride Saturday, walk Sunday, fun, fun, fun.

A colleague is worried about working, we meet a lot of people a day, strangers, he has asthma. He phoned the doc & was given 3 MONTH sicknote. Wow!

It'll be the worst recession ever (probably) and my fear is 10 years down the line is that we might think we did some really daft things. Hopefully in a month or so we'll have more figures to work with, but China's now look bizarre. Still, best to keep perspective, I'll probably get it via work but I've still a far, far more chance of being killed in a car crash than being killed by the virus. I wish positive stats were put out more often, it'd stop people going mental.

Agree about the positive stats.

I don't want to hear over the next 2 years people complaining that their son or daughter can't get a decent job now because the time is now to stand up to that.

The unemployment market is going through the roof and competition for any jobs will be tough.

Need positivity now because Boris said it was May - June the peak and he's now done this lockdown when he was messing about with it, so 3 weeks of this.

He needs to deliver 3 weeks of positive feedback & support.
