Can't head a ball, and a lot better with his feet. Don't be deceived by the height. Likes to dribble with the ball and has some talent when he applies himself according to other fans. Don't think we'll be seeing him putting himself about in my opinion. Think they will turn out to be polar opposites once we see him play.

 

Might be a good bluff target man though. Defence see's someone that size, good chance if a team has a big unit CB they are marking Guthrie, leaving Donaldson/Novak to work on the other. Or given his height, on crosses/set pieces teams might double up on Guthrie thinking he's a big unit to stop when in reality we have no intention of crossing it to his head and then makes more space for other attackers.

Bit harsh but yes he won't put himself about the same way James would. He's a decent header of the ball just won't stand exclusively in the box waiting for a cross.

I am honestly shocked, didn’t think there would be a third time lucky. Probably not who i would have picked, purely as i thought it was out of the question. I really hope it works out, he’ll get my full backing though i know he wouldn’t be the choice of a fair few supporters, judging by what people say on here. Hope he can prove any doubters wrong.
