    Hopkin found two enforcers last season in Henry & O'Brien, surely there is someone out there who could do a job.

    However I also anticipate that McCall's first objective will be to change the dynamic of the team, working more on a high press and possession of the football. Playing in different areas of the pitch could negate the need for an out an out ball winner and players such as Cooke, Reeves could still prove an effective midfield. Under Bowyer we were happy to surrender possession and retreat, pretty much inviting pressure on to us.

    All of you are fools if you think the fortunes will change, its so obvious there is no ambition from Rupp, I'd put a wager on stuart being employed to shift more ST's, In a good way it could back fire on Rupp as the fans will turn their anger on him rather than Stuart.

    Really? AOC seems far more comfortable on the ball than Paudie, which would be needed in a DCM.

    Exactly. AOC played at DCM a couple of times for us last season and looked pretty decent.
    Yes, I did wonder about this. The defence was so good in SM's last spell here, especially the first season, because the opposition never had enough of the ball to put us under much pressure. I certainly don't expect us to have eight or nine men retreated in front of our own box, inviting pressure on us.

    Has McCall every really played it an enforcer? Dieng maybe, but I wouldn't class him as a hard player by any means.
