Away vs Oldham Feb 1st

I noticed him. Thought he was refreshingly positive. That won't last long if the current regime survive.

 

I've come to the conclusion he doesn't think how how words will be received before he says them.

 

Admittedly it looks very unlikely that we can recapture our early season form to make the playoffs, let alone make the top three. One 3-0 loss can be considered an aberration, two 3-0 losses in the space of seven days isn't an aberration, it's becoming the norm.

But sacking Bowyer isn't the magic solution. I wouldn't shed any tears if he left, but I very much doubt a new manager would change anything at this stage of the season. If anything the new manager would come in, our slide would continue and then the negativity would carry forward into the next season.

The next couple of weeks will be very interesting, nothing less than six points from the next two games is acceptable.

 

I genuinely think that's the poorest team performance I've ever witnessed. No passion, no fight, no pride and all coupled with a manager who seemingly has no idea.

In the interview he constantly referred to Tuesday night's performance as if it was something to be proud of? Really? The only difference was that Cheltenham wasted their chances, it wasn't because we somehow put in an acceptable performance for once.

The bottom line is the players don't want to be here, playing under Bowyer and since we can't get shut of the lot of em as I'd like then Bowyer has to be the one to take the hit instead.

Nothing less than six points from the next two games is a pipe dream.

 

I disagree. I think if Bowyer leaves, then so does his back room staff. Right now, we can't even manage the BASICS on the pitch. This is down to coaching. Drury doesn't have the respect of the players, or experience in the game to run coaching sessions. If GB can't see this, then that's why he also has to go.
A new manager, hopefully an experienced one, would bring in his own coaches, an assistant and tried and tested ideas. This team has the ability to be competing for the playoffs, and I believe the correct manager and backroom staff would ensure that happens.

 

The only positive was that nobody caught the Coronavirus.

Some of the worst football I have seen since last week. Absolutely clueless, we have some of the worst defenders in the league, not forgetting 3 of them are from the relegation squad.

I think we have been lucky early part of this season. We haven’t been the best team but picked up wins. But now the other teams have improved and we have stayed the same. Truth is we have a poor squad of players or just a poor manager

 

What's the point in waiting though?

He just isn't the man to take the club forward. Even if he stayed to the 2 games and won he will lose the away match!

We've waited and waited now find ourselves in 8th. We can't wait any longer!

Gary Bowyer Is killing the club! Get him out!

 

GB has the Grimsby game to save his arse.

Even a win wouldn't be enough. We must also see a performance where we look like e team that knows what it is doing. Something to give us hope of a revival.

He has 6 days now to get his team playing for him.

Anything less than that next Saturday and he knows what will happen.

 

I just think he’s a basically decent man out of his depth. We’ve not done him any favours by not letting him bring in a number two but he’s signed more than half the team. What makes a good manager is almost impossible to define but whatever it is he’s not got if. There’s no personality in this team, no backbone, no cojones.

 

He’s not a great orator. Could talk a glass eye to sleep.

 

Our squad is apparently the envy of every manager in the league according to a certain former Bradford winger/forward.

 

I worry he will be given the next two home games but whats the point? He’ll go defensive at Cambridge and lose. Replace him now so we can win away games again.

 

All teams get beat but with City its the manner of the defeats there is nothing in the team no organisation no endeavour no passion and very little skill all the things in a basic football coaching manual. Bowyer /Drury don't have any idea how to get this over to the players things need to change or the season will just fizzle out.

 

He's gonna be given the next game, because that's when the new signings can feature. If they don't get us a win, then surely he's got to go.
He was embarrassing on the radio - wow - wow -wow - being genuinely shocked that we got turned over. Of course we did you absolute plant pot - we have no midfield and no idea how to play, and you've had the transfer window for the whole of January to fix it!

I don't know who is more of a drip, GB or those two fcukwits upstairs who are "running" our club.

 

No mate he's finished, gone, kaput. I can't have him anywhere near my club. I love this club and won't have any manager make us a laughing stock like this clown has. I don't care if we go the rest of the season with no manager and let the players just pick themselves. I am fuming, absolutely fuming as @Bronco saw at the game.

 

It is like watching a novice chess player who just moves their pawns, while an experienced player brings out their rooks and bishops working in partnership. Oldham passed around us and could easily have had five or six today.

 

I just don’t understand the mentality of Bowyer. He’s either incredibly stubborn or stupid. His job is on the line and he changes nothing. Just bizarre!
