So your owner makes the decisions on what players come in and go out - not your manager?

You'd think we were near the bottom and you five hundred points clear at the top, such is your patronising guff. There's six points between us and we have a game in hand and I reckon we've played well about three times, if that - such as been our constant disruption due to injuries

We "couldn’t get a tune out of him", as you put it, because;-
    1. He was playing in a division higher
    2. Is notorious for swinging between good and poor seasons, just ask Chesterfield fans
    3. Point 2 is compounded, when you think he couldn't play for three different managers all with different styles. Our young loanee Lewis O'Brien managed it!! But for some strange reason the season experienced Doyle just sulked all season because we probably didn't tell him how great he was, every day. Even the two other failures, O'Connor and O' Donnell (who are now excellent) showed more passion than him (unfortunately it was usually blaming each other though!!)

If your club wants to kid themselves that they've suddenly got a striker that not only will take you out of L2, but next season, back to your past L1 play-off form of 2015 then please take him. After we've finished rolling on the floor laughing at your optimism, we'll cash the cheque

Don't believe everything Fordy posts. He's such a busy entrepreneur he spends most his day on here.

All owners do, They decide on the money, We did not want to send Doyle out on loan but after the disaster of last season with poor players on daft money we could only sign the players we desperately needed by getting players wages off the books, Doyle was part of that process which is still in process, Hopefully we can move on the rest this window and begin to bring in better players which may include Doyle

Of course not. But that’s not money that benefits you at all. Once he is free from his Bradford contract - however that may come about - he’ll be free to make his own decision.

He obviously enjoys being at Swindon under Wellens and may well accept the carrot of a 2 1/2 year contract with us. He may also decide to go to whoever pays most and to hell with whether he enjoys being there or not. Whether he stays with us is not in our hands. If he signs or stays for the season it’ll be down to your club facilitating it.

Again, why has not Lee "look at me I'm so good I could eat myself" Power never stated this?

I think he'll be in a very similar situation that James Vaughan was in before he signed for us. It will be down to who ever pays the most money and the longest contract....

If you have "built a team" as you say why is it all I see it you lot moaning about it?

Last two games 1 goal has come from Doyle, yeah he will be missed and we probably won't get another striker that will score that many goals, but we have chances and goals across the park. You need to realise we are not a one player team, Doyle hardly touches the ball in games and the rest of the team does all the work.

Stop believing that an Automatic place is "yours" to give away, your in league 2 for a reason, because you were to shit for league 1. Swindon were too shit for league 1 and got relegated, now we seem to be on the ascendancy, I hope and pray we go up, we seem good enough and the next six months will tell. At leas I can be realistic about it, you seem bloody delusional.

The big test of your views on the world of football comes on Saturday, win and you are vilified, lose and you look a right *@?$.

We would because if we don't recall him within that short window he will stay with you for the season and then you don't have to stump up that money you might make from sell-on's.

Fair play to this poster, it's only taken him one hour to deduce something that took a lot of us at least a year to work out :joy:

Do you think your manager is the one who decides if a player comes into or leaves Swindon doesn't Paul jewell do your recruitment for Wellens?

As for Bowyer deciding players in and out he will have the last say but I don't doubt for a second he was told he could either keep Doyle or get other players and he chose to let him go its just down to financial limitations.

Just imagine for a second you don't have Doyle. Who are you going to get in that has already knocked in 20 odd goals and will probably keep scoring for less than a million let alone 250k? Your kidding yourselves to think that it's that easy.

I'm not trying to belittle your team your up there because the whole squad deserves to be but without Doyle your unlikely to go up top of the league if at all.

I thought Reeves played well when he was at Swindon, I suspect had Wellens been manager then he may have seen the potential that Reeves has.
