Myself..like a few more have high, maybe unrealistic expectations, but I wonder what effect our style of play is having on the players themselves. After all, they are under instruction from GB and his staff. Remember their performance is a direct result on how they are managed. Following instruction and then suffering abuse for doing so must be disheartening. Feel rather bad now..but that's the passion of a fan wanting it all. Can't apologise for that.

Poor bastard. Imagine that game yesterday being the last thing you experience in life.

People querying the style of play under GB. I wonder what effect not having an assistant has in respect of this? OK Drury is there as a coach but he is very unlikely to say "Gary I think you've got that wrong, why not give this a go?" is he? Maybe an experienced assistant would see things from the other angle and be able to tell GB what he thinks and maybe cause a different dimension being taken.

Do you think think the player really give a flying? They just got 3 points and a clean sheet, it's what they are paid to do.

A good balanced post @Asafa@Asafa as you say we shared the points with Salford when we should have had all 3 and yesterday was poor but we kept a clean sheet and scored the two chances that were on offer
Over a season you sometimes don't get the rub of the green and at other times you do.
I would think the Doyle situation has been discussed with all parties who will know what's required to keep him at the County Ground.

I also think if Bowyer could bring in a another coach it would help.

    Bronco,
Interesting that Paul Jewell Director of Football appears to be doing the negotiating on behalf of Swindon Town re Eoin Doyle.

Regarding yesterday as most people on here have stated it was dire to say the least, but three points in the locker is the main thing and another clean sheet.

Hopefully performances can only get better starting with Morecambe on Wednesday.

Point being individuals played out of position will not be happy with their game.Yes agree a win is a win but remember the Doyle no show.Need to be happy doing what they do performance wise. After all they are professionals.

I don’t think there is any sign at all of unhappy players. I think yesterday’s backs to the wall display showed that. I think Pritchard was a big miss yesterday and Donaldsons hold up play is sorely missed but players like Vaughan and Connolly battled away gamely.
Hopefully at long last soon we can have a full bill of health and kick on even further

Exactly what I've been saying for months, the coaching set up is a leftover from Edins day it didn't work then and its not working now.

I thought Vaughan was superb yesterday. Ran his socks off, challenged every header, got in the ears of their centre backs (maybe a bit too much sometimes) and played some nice passes. Took his first penalty with aplomb, and taking a second pen is never easy, but tucked it away comfortably. His best performance in a City shirt for quite some time.

Good to get the 3 points but god we made hard work of it and found the dullest possible way to do it.

Promotion is the aim this season and playing this 352/532 may achieve it but I think we have a squad capable of doing it with a bit more entertainment. Ismali and Connelly were looking good on the wings and I’d like to see them return to wide positions. Its notable that the times where Connelly was at his best and most effective was when he drifted out wide. As well as he did up front I think he is much better out wide and won’t be as effective playing centrally against better teams.

Sorry, some of the stuff posted about Drury here is also complete nonsense. Does anyone have any evidence that he is not good at his job? I bet no one on here has worked with him professionally or is even 'ITK' on our coaching set up.
Bowyer was given the opportunity to bring in a number 2 but decided to stick with Drury, suggesting that contrary to certain posters unfounded opinions he is a perfectly fine coach.

Drury is targeted due to his failure as the manager of Avenue, and also for being part of the coaching teams under Collins and Hopkin, hardly a ringing endorsement.

I will be surprised if Bowyer does not bring in an assistant of his own choice, once Drury's contract expires, assuming Bowyer is still here!

Spot on, we won't have him within miles of our training before the game.

Would the Football League allow that, I don't think they'd have a problem us recalling Doyle but to then play 3/4 games for City then allow him to return to Swindon till the end of the season.
