This team doesn't exactly dissect defences.
Instead of actually running at and challenging a League 2 defence, we will just pass it around their front 2.

 

This is the team I would play too if all fit.

No prediction from me for the Mansfield game, I’m not very good at predicting . Doing well in the Fantasy Premier League though in fact top of the Keighley Bantams League.
So a bit of advise for G.B try 442
It’s made up of four defenders,four midfielders and two strikers. It is an adaptable system where you have strength in midfield and plenty of width . Having two strikers means that the front line has extra support rather than having to wait for the midfield to reach them.

 

I'm not very good at predicting things either, and hope my 1-0 defeat in the Predictions League is bang wrong!

There has to be one game where we will score more than one, its nine games since we did, this could be it. That said, the stats show we are a team that doesn't score or concede many. You can add 'shite Mansfield' to all the other 'shite' teams we've looked average against recently.

 

Both teams have drawn their last 3 games with very few goals seems they have GB Mark 2 in charge
All points to a dour 0-0 draw with lots of midfield passing sideways from both teams

Never thought I'd see the day where I'm grateful for being at work instead of going to the game. I'm working new years day also. Will anything change in the next couple of games to tempt me back in. GB is creating a toxic atmosphere with his tactics, how can he be so stubborn to not change it?

Will be very interesting if he changes formation today to the one EVERYONE wants. I suppose it depends on how many of the players are ill, but if he's got the players to play a 442, if he doesn't play it, then it shows how stubborn he is as a manager.

I read this morning, Declan Rice stating that "fans are coming to games not really wanting to come", and I think we have a situation similar.

If he goes 442, then aswell as maybe winning the game, he might win some fans over too.

Ref the game: I wish we had some more strikers. Oteh is frustrating. He does a lot of hold up play (in which case, why hasn't he been given the role Vaughan currently has?), but is certainly not the finished article, and this shows by some poor finishing choices and lack of anticipation in the box. As mentioned by others, if Shay isn't given a chance today, then I think he'll be packing his bags ready for 2020.

After long commutes to Orient and Carlisle the last few weeks, costing an arm and a leg he’s worn me down and I’m staying at home with the dog. Love to be proved wrong and we get a convincing win though!
