Nice to see the club do major work to the pitch, got sick of hearing from the ITK brigade that it couldn't be done because of one excuse or another. Put the money up and anything can be done.

 

Anyone know what you get charged with for running across the pitch?

Cheapbshot mate, debate the issues I'm quoting, I'd love to be passing comment on who our next marquee signing is going to be rather than have these two learnt anything from their past dealings at the club.
Yes the weather is great and I will no doubt have a few hours in it until the FA Cup starts (nowt else on tele worth watching) but I'm sorry mate stuff I'm hearing does not make me happy about the direction our club is taking under Edin & Stefan.

From the recent interview, it came across to me how much the chairmen what to have ‘experts’ in each field - i.e. specialist runnIng the shop, PR/Media expert. I assume this is so accountability can be assigned and a clear plan/strategy put in place. I think what we’re seeing in the way of comms at the moment is the club going through the process of closing of other streams and letting the PR/media contact start to work on their vision.

 

Bronco, I generally agree with most of what you say, but this is probably the only positive thread on here, and certainly the owners doing something right for once. Let's enjoy it for what it is

 

Agree open debate can only help what fans are questioning, but there are so many things that IMO we should be questioning, we for example know Greg put a list of transfer targets together ( I can only assume with Grayson) but what value do they have for the new man ?, as with the retained list difficult when you don't have someone in place who's seen the players and how they have performed, again was that done with the hope that Grayson would still be here.
I'm sure when Phil Parkinson allowed Josh Morris to leave for Scunthorpe our new manager Stuart McCall would gave been delighted to have a footballer within the squad of Morris's ability but Phil didnt fancy him.
I sorry @ahar964 that interview did not fill me with optimism for the coming season, we will have to see how the coming season pans out, rumour has it ( I cant substanciate it) Niel Woods is in the last 3 candidates .

 

You'd definitely be charged with going on to the playing area under the Football Offences act 1991. In addition, you can also be charged for any general offences that you commit whilst on the pitch and when you consider that even just running on the pitch and stopping play would almost certainly constitute "aggravated trespass" (up to 3 months in prison), it's easy to see how you could quickly rack up a few extra charges if the police and CPS were so inclined, especially if you were drunk or decided to confront players or incite opposition fans etc .

Theoretically, if the club directly incurred costs due to your pitch invasion (e.g. damage repair, FA/FL fine, increased police bill etc) then they could probably bring a civil case against you for trespass to recover the money which would potentially be pretty expensive.
