How about Jorge Grant from Nottingham forest?

Scores goals from midfield and has a season and half experience at Notts county under his belt now. 18 this season and 7 in a short spell last season. Great to have goals from midfield again. 23 right age for developing and would be hungry for it.

It’s ok signing youngsters from prem academy’s but they don’t have any experience like he would. Can either play central or on the left. Believe we were looking at him in January but he decided to stick with Notts. Well they are in league two agin next year so make that step with us?

Not technically true. Oztumer has said he wants to explore other options but Walsall are still hoping he will discuss a new deal and have left the door open.

Yes watching last nights game he certainly can play and has an eye for goal, it would have to be a loan I would think couldn't see Forest selling him at his age doing so well at County, if only we could dream of Grant & Oztumer in our midfield, but as you say that's all part of being a football fans being able to dream.

 

the only lad from South Shields who hasn't played too many this year who is highly thought of is Anthony Callaghan a rapid left back

Tranmere are reporting today us and walsall are trying to sign striker Andy cook who scored 27 goals last season and out of contract. I know we were linked in jan so maybe we have gone in for him now.
