are you asking me? it's not absurd as people have said their is nothing wrong with celebrating an opponents goals in a friendly / charity match, you then mentioned that federer's family were applauding djokovi's win at wimbledon today (a competitive match) as it shows respect and human decency - therefore, in theory you would have no issue with me applauding a goal scored against us or us losing in a competitive match such as a play-off final? as that is human decency and respect.

 

He is making a complete embarrassment of himself, I'm afraid.

I mean, we've all formed stupid opinions before, but when they're ripped to shreds by pretty much everyone around us, most of us with an IQ above that of a regurgitated sock are capable of reforming those opinions.

It's part of being a well rounded human being.

I worry this poster isn't one of those.

It's an absurd point made by you because I was illustrating that applause is NOT celebration, which entirely undermines your entire point. Federer's family were not celebrating Djokovic's win.

Your supposed 'counter point' is irrelevant and absurd as it does nothing to prove applause is celebration.

 

Today has been an emotional roller coaster ride showing appreciation for a true legend of the club and somehow we are sat here discussing the 'merits' of cheering a goal at a friendly game of football. I despair, i really do.

A totally different situation I know, I think he must have volunteered on Tuesday night to model the new away strip whilst on the stage looked quite at ease and he was was making very positive comments with regards being back at Valley Parade and how things have changed dramatically since he left, I'd be disappointed if he's walked out with disregard to the occasion and what it meant to all Bradford City fans.

Sometimes I applaud an opposition goal if it is a great goal. I don't think two own goals and a penalty really warrented that.
