It was a pleasure watching the football Liverpool played. And the stoicism city showed in defence

 

difference being that those two gents battled for almost 5 hours going head to head in a match that was on a knife-edge throughout. much like the cricket final.. our fans celebrated a tap in. if your theory is correct, as the wimbledon final was a competitive match then if we get to the final of the play-offs next season and we lose you'll have no issue with me celebrating our opponents winner?

 

The only fans clapping Liverpool goals near me in the Kop, were wearing Liverpool shirts, didnt see a single City fan cheer a Liverpool goal

Whilst queuing to get into the kop around 13:40, Shay walked past to the car park and got in his Range Rover, and drove off.... now I don’t think he was going to the corner shop to get a snack, but in my eyes leaving a game like today which should mean so much from the club down to supporters, shows a total lack of respect for the club, and I will be happy if he never graces the turf of valley parade again, regardless if he was injured or quite simply left out of the match day squad, disgraceful attitude not to attend a game with so much emotion to it.... How do you know they were not neutral fans or in fact Liverpool fans who can not normally go to a game, just enjoying it in the home end?

It’s quite clear we don’t have 19/20k fans to turn out each week so not everyone would be a city fan. We don’t know for the future if they like what they saw today and might get themselves the odd ticket here and there to come to valley parade.

Anyway, Give me thousands of those types rather than the morons who ran into the pitch during the game and at the end.

Its a friendly game of football where the result had no bearing whatsoever. The shitshow of league 2 football will soon be upon us, there'll be plenty of opportunity to wade into the negatives. But not today. I've just seen the playback of Stephen Darby's speech from todays game. Watch that, the cheering of goals in a friendly game become a mere insignificance.
