On a slightly different tack (re season's predictions) have predictions of season ticket numbers changed in the light of the signings and work done so far by the Club? I would hope that the positive news coming out recently may have tempted back some of those fans who decided early that they would not buy this year. Any idea of current numbers of sales?

Bradford end will be posting as he gets info on any uptake brought about by last couple of weeks activity. Hopefully its making a decent contribution to a wage somewhere.

Too early. Based on recent season god knows.
Hopefully pre season won’t be the shambles of last season and we kick off with some momentum.

City and Salford are the early market movers within the bookmakers circles, both gaining early momentum.

Both around the 15/2 mark now (Salford best price at 8s and City 9s, bet Victor) from double digit highs.

Whilst all teams have much more transfer activity to complete, I personally feel this momentum on the said two, will continue.

We had another Black Cats fan on here recently telling us we should steer clear of James Vaughan. He claimed the striker was lazy, disinterested and generally one to avoid. Since then, we’ve addd him to our squad.

It’d be interesting to hear your views on him too

Judged on his time with us it would be hard to disagree with my fellow SAFC supporter. His subsequent moves to Wigan and Portsmouth don't seem to have gone much better. But he's only thirty and will be operating at a lower level next season. A three year contract shows Gary Bowyer has faith in Vaughan. I hope he can put the last couple of years behind him.
I had a look at the Gigg Lane message-board and though there weren't many comments regarding Vaughan's move to Bradford City one stood out. Someone wrote that his form had slipped badly since leaving Bury but was reminded that Vaughan's form had declined before he joined Bury too. He found a home at Bury, was adored by the fans, thrived on it and so did his football. So though he gets no reference for his time with us it's water under the bridge. It's a fresh start at Valley Parade and he just might have his finest season.

That has a big part to play with any player, as a goal scorer if you're doing your job fans are right behind you, the major difference being (and I'm not bigging our fan base up) at Bury he would have had 4/5,000 every home game where as at Valley Parade if we do start well he could have 18/19,000 fans singing his name, just need to keep the lad fit.
