Can't believe all of this panic about Northampton's rush of early signings. They did exactly the same 2/3 years ago and started the season as one of the favourites to go up. They were actually relegated.

 

Look around there is hardly any business being done other than one or two clubs. We have signed three already and more will be here before pre season

My money is on Northampton failing to pay their players at some point next season.

I don't have unrealistic expectations.
O'Donnell is rubbish and there are several league two keepers that are better than him. it's not unrealistic to want to get someone better. I've never seen Sam Hornby play but i don't think he can be worse than OD, so thats hopeful.

 

You have just proved my point Ricc. It’s a case of anyone but RO’D as far as I can see it. As you say, you’ve never seen Hornby play but you’ve already made your mind up that he can’t be worse.

You state there are several league 2 keepers better than RO’D. How would you know this? How many of them have you seen perform over an entire season to base that on? I could show you several games where RO’D looked outstanding. In fact he was more than adequate in L1 until his form dropped through his arse. But because of that and your blinkered view, he’s now worse than L2 standard.

I found it very difficult to judge O’Donnell on last season. He started very well and was mom for a few games. Definitely his performances deteriorated towards the end. However, if you are dealing with massive errors in your defensive back line then you are bound to let more in on sheer percentage reasoning. I don’t know how you can say he is worse than the majority of LG 2 keepers, we haven’t seen any yet!

 

Winner... my thoughts exactly. I think his confidence will have taken a hit given the shower he had in front of him and practically no protection. I think a confident O'Donnell will be a solid L2 keeper
