Ok, now I am asking you what lies the owners have told us? You have made a very bold claim so you need to back it up to add credibility to your cause? You cannot just go around shouting on forums that they have lied - back it up please.

 

Have to disagree as well @Jimmylivesnextdoor. They've got things wrong of course, but they've earned the right to get things wrong by investing in the first place. Not many people have done that in my time supporting the club without it being built upon huge risk like Richmond and Lawn's loan.

You have cited Blackpool and Charlton as examples but fans at those clubs would dream of owners who are committed and investing rather than bleeding the club dry. They are by no means perfect but protesting would be dangerous.

 

Now now, I am not suggesting that but the comment about them just walking away IMO is nonsence, there are people out there with interest of what's going on at our club.

That is not a lie. That is a failed ambition at worst.

They had Kristian Dennis sat eating a pizza who had agreed a £175,000 move to us before Chesterfield pulled the plug at the 11th hour. They tabled a £150,000 bid for Kelvin Mellor at Blackpool - wasnt accepted. They tried but couldn't get the deals over the line.

They fecke dup - they didn't lie.

 

Just a thought, and you're not going to like it, but reading between the lines of what SG has said and taking into account one or two other things surrounding the club, would you not consider the possibility that the problem is not our current owners, but more what they have inherited from the previous ones?

I'm by no means suggesting I know anymore than the next man but personally I think some of the criticism directed at the owners is wide of the mark. We had an incredible amount of luck under PP and it certainly felt that way at the time, you never got the feeling it was going to last forever, I thnk Lawn was saying that himself when he said they did't have the resources to take the club into the Championship. And maybe all concerned were only ever thinking short-term at the time.

The truth is, as another poster has quite rightly said, we're not a Championship-ready club, nowhere near, and recent success, while obviously welcomed, has only masked that. The owners hinted at some malpractice within the club and just maybe that's where a lot of things have unravelled, perhaps certain people didn't like being found out and have now got an axe to grind. Who knows? I certainly don't, but one thing I do think I know, these guys are no Oystons and don't deserve the flack that comes with that. Do they have a plan that works? No, I'm not convinced of that either, but you can't liken a misguided plan to a concious attempt to ruin the club.

You can't just say 'get them out' and suddenly a magical solution will appear. It doesn't work like that. At best, it's naive, at worst, it's detrimental to the club's future. Can't you wait and find out what is going to happen over the summer rather than go in all guns blazing on the back of wild speculation and rumours? Just a bit of reflection might be what's needed all round.

I will decline your invitation thanks. All this jumping up an down like a 2 year old with a temper tantrum is just not merited in my view. If you were a Blackpool or Leyton Orient fan you might have a point.

 

The club had absolutely no infrastructure, we don't own the ground. We don't own the training facilities. We don't own the catering rights. We don't own the club shop/replica kit etc. We don't own the advertising hoardings. Somewhere along the line all the money coming into the club is diluted out to other interested parties.
