I’ve posted this in one of the other threads but thought it warranted its own so those of us that feel the same can discuss without detracting the other threads.

What is evident from the Grayson situation is that the model will not change. They will run the club their way regardless of outside influence. That’s fine, they’re the owners & they have the right to do so. However their policy has regressed the club and undone years of hard work on and off the field. They’re a cancer that’s eating at the very soul of Bradford City.

It is plainly obvious to me now that the only option is for them to go. I was prepared to see what happened this summer under Grayson’s stewardship. Because that would have meant the infrastructure he wanted to implement had been agreed to and that the owners were starting to change their approach to running the club. This obviously hasn’t happened.

As far as I’m now concerned they’ve had their final roll of the dice. They’ve passed the point of no return. I can’t speak for others but they’ve got to go. Lie after lie broken promise after broken promise, enough is enough. I will be sounding others out however I’m seriously considering starting a protest group ready for next season in the mould of Blackpool and Charlton, who’s supporters groups i’ll also ask for advice. They’ve got to go!!!!!

Anyone that feels the same and that would like to be part of this should I decide to proceed please feel free to PM me, thanks.

Did you form a protest group when Lawn & Rhodes took us to the brink of non-league?

Rather than PM you, I'd like to understand better what you're really proposing and what outcome you are seeking.

At the most basic of levels, what do you mean they 'have to go'?

    Here are some options

1 They pack their bags, get the next plane to Germany and let the club flounder with no real owners

2 Force them somehow to sell the club to another owner who may or may not have the financial backing to tske the club forward

3 Ask them to give the club to the fans who will run it better and put additional investment in to take it forward

4 Form your own consortium to make a bid for the club

    5 Something else

I'm genuinely interested in understanding what you might be suggesting but it needs to be more than just saying 'they have to go'.

Sorry Jimmy, not with you on this one.

How do you know they are not going to act on rectifying past mistakes?

The fact that they pursued Grayson tells me otherwise. They have tried to persuade an old style English manager, who does it his own way, to stay for a further couple of years, thinking he represented our best chance of getting out of this league at the right end of the table. The fact he chose not to stay, doesnt mean that they are going to revert to type and look for a 'yes' man with a meagre budget.

I'm prepared to sit back, let them appoint a new manager, and see how things develop over the close season. I'm going to enjoy the summer in the meantime, watching the World Cup and Cricket, and come back and start again with the pre-season friendlies.

    So no protests from me

I don’t think you can deduce anything from Grayson leaving seriously. Have a listen to his exit interview, and then look at the papers this morning, yesterday he was our perspective manager, now Scunthorpe and Barnsley are fighting over him. Well my view is they are welcome to him. The owners are making mistake after mistake, and realising you make one big mistakes and no amount of scrambling around can put that right. So I personally I am not there yet, like @Dennis@Dennis is implying before that happens we need to know we are past the point of no return and we have better investors lined up.

I'm far from happy with our incumbents, and I'm cutting them some slack (having calmed down about the loss of Grayson) rather than defending them, but cancer is a strong word. Both are successful business men not idiots who will not have done their homework, but it would appear they have had the wool pulled over their eyes and inherited a turkey in terms of infrastructure. Now I'm not a religious man at all, but I do recall there is a story in the old testament about houses being built on sand.

We've been spoilt over the last six years with "superficial" success, when in truth all we've actually achieved is promotion back to the division in which we've spent the most time during the last 30 years. The two cup runs were great for a day out, raising the clubs profile, and a bit of income (none of which was ever invested properly in the club) but are they a true measure of success ?? I'd say in reality only promotion is a true measure.

Grayson has walked either because he seen things that make him think that the club is no where near Championship ready or because his agent has told him he can get more dosh in his pocket at Barnsley, Scunthorpe, Ipswich or whatever club he turns up at in two weeks time, and that's not to do with Rahic and Rupp. I'm worried about our short term future, but to some extent we do need to cut them some slack, especially as they've tried to show intent by spending money on fees.

Don't forget we had a Chairman (albeit a successful one for part of the time) who had exactly the opposite view and thought he'd never have to pay a transfer fee again but paid silly money on wages. That ended really well didn't it !!

It’s very simple Dennis. I want them to sell up and piss off!! I can’t really put it any simpler than that.

Thanks for the replies chaps. As I said anyone interested should PM me. Have had some good feedback from friends and colleagues who have also spread the word to City fans they know. I first mooted the idea of protests a couple of weeks ago and should we decide to go ahead I’ll post further info.

The model can work and to an extent there are signs its working (Robinson,Patrick,Gibson,Peters,Hawkes,Staunton)but it takes time and resources to fully implement.
Imo the mistakes were made with 1st team recruitment in that we didnt sign strong characters to help the younger players.
They admitted mistakes where made and said sorry.
Its not time for a revolution just yet and like the previous poster said we have no better investor lined up.

@Jimmylivesnextdoor@Jimmylivesnextdoor I would ask that you think very carefully before embarking on a venture to get rid of our owners. We all share your frustrations and anger, but our club is far more important than that. We need a period of stability, let us hope we can have that. Sometimes we all need to stand stil and think of nothing rather than acting or saying anything, and this advice applies to Edin.

I think our owners should stay. The summer before their arrival look who nearly bought us. That, I would really not have liked. They are a much better option than Palladine etc. Finally they are dealing with the pitch, so progress is being made.

I think it is a massive over reaction. What lies have the owners told us? What comments have they made that are proven as blatant lies? Yes, some of their promises have not come to fruition but you and others need to stop being hysterical over this.

The way I see it - two Germans still learning their trade in English football. Naive mistakes have been made and things have not worked out this season but it is not like we were fighting relegation - we finished 11th about 3 wins off the play offs.

Do not forget them bringing in a club legend like McCall. Do not forget all their hard work last season that saw them build a squad from about 8 contracted players into Play Off finalists. Do not forget they brought in Charlie Wyke who will be the first million pound player in over a decade (bar Wells). Do not forget their philosophy has brought in another gem like Tyrell Robinson.

When they start fleecing the fans with high ticket prices and selling our assets to pocket the profits then let's talk about these ridiculous protest groups.
