Our recent poor form has coincided with turgid form from Payne.

Butterfield is looking a far more useful player, as he's trying to get on the ball in the middle of the park all the time.

I might be tempted to drop Ball for Payne, though, as Ball has done naff all up front.

 

If he keeps us up, surely he 100% gets the job, and the freedom of the City

 

I agree. At some point, we MUST try to instil some stability and think about the longer term. Give him 9 games to start laying plans for next season and then back him as much as we can.

 

Might I suggest the Club are looking for the same as me ?

Yes - Priority ONE ....... TRY and keep us up.

Improve our results, and therefore form. If the improvement is good enough - Extend the contract offer, regardless of where we end up. (The way results are going ........... 54 points may struggle to survive !!)

 

Bit ironic that the person urging caution is the very same one that started questioning Hopkin after barely 2 months an 9 games in charge. Results business maybe but I think most would like to think he'll be here next year irrespective of results between now and then.

Apparently high standards means tearing everything up and starting again after every few weeks. Pragmatism and promoting continuity and stability are low standards.

 

If we get nothing from Saturday; 8pts adrift of Oxford it pretty much is "good night Vienna" barring a run of form and consistency the like of which this lot have shown zero capability of from day one !. As for Bowyer I would hold your powder he has an 11 game audition to get through. Lose Saturday and the statistics are against a permanent appointment. I accept we are headed into the abyss of League 2 for god knows how long ?. So accepting that keeping us in League 1 is not the ultimate goal of the "Bowyer audition". As I have previously said he must show 1. With the personnel at his disposal what a Bowyer style of play amounts to ?? 2. Not allow us to be cut adrift by more points than we are now. 3.Make us harder to beat.
If he shows me those three things irrespective of the relegation he gets a one year deal in League 2.

Aren't you one of the "lets stop selling our football on the cheap" then quote our owner is rich, have you not been reading what has been posted on here with regards Stefan making good Rahic's f**k up and what he has had to put in to stabilise the club?.
