The point being would he be willing to lose millions on the resale value of the club, against possible a few 100k on a change of manager. If the rumours are to be believed he’s looking to sell, so why would he be concerned about next year budget.

 

Who would we realistically get to replace him? Given our current predicament and financial situation.

 

What's to say Rupp selling won't impact us financially for seasons to come. Underwriting the clubs debts till the end of the season, maybe had conditions attached??

 

You could be right, he’s a businessman at the end of the day with allegedly no interest in football. I think the repercussions of the current ownership will take year to bounce back from.

Think back to 12 months ago (roughly), and we brought Grayson in. He made us worse, not better.

It takes an age for a new manager to come in, look at what he’s got, try and find a system that stops us conceding first and foremost. Then he’s to get a system that works. By that time we’ll be cut adrift.

We have no centre half cover, we’ve Miller and Doyle up front. That’s it !
Bring in Alex Ferguson and it won’t make a blind bit of difference. We’ve crap players both in and out of team. We can’t change a great deal (that you can blame Hopkin for).

Our only hope in my opinion is, he can get a December tune out of this lot. Enough for us to scrape over the line.

Like I say he’s a businessman, he’s not in it for the love of Bradford City, he’s not put his money in without some means of getting it back. With the club having no real assets of any note, L2 could be a disaster. Admin and doing other creditors over, may be his only option. Potential very dark days ahead.

Way OTT reaction.

You can’t just sack every manager after every bad run. What do you expect, positive results and performances in every single game? Hopkin has inherited a team that was bottom of league one and well adrift of safety.

6 weeks ago we had people putting bets on us reaching the play offs and talking about giving Hopkin long term contracts.

Back DH and support the team, and we will have a much better chance of getting out of this rut. We’re only 3 points from safety.

The whole thing reeks of defeat. We were set on a road to absolute shite by our amazing joint owners. I’ve no idea if getting rid of Hopkin will change anything, maybe we are just THAT useless. Look at how little Grayson got out of us end of last season and he was supposedly a fairly ‘big name’. Things are coming home to roost from last season, where we got lucky in terms of how many points Stu got us. I don’t think our squad even has the fight to make up for how crap they are. Sometimes a bit of fight might get you through even despite everything else. But apart from an anamalous december, we’re not good enough, not got enough bottle and other clubs have worked out the few things we had going for us that worked in december. The noises coming from the manager recently, seem alarming though, i would be amazed if he turned this round tbh.

 

So whats happened in the last 6 weeks to bring us to this shit show today?

 

Mathematically incorrect, realistically your right, so why stick with Hopkins, he’s tactically clueless, with no game management skills. Sticking with the same formation when it’s not working, like for like substitutions, pointless substitutions on 89 mins when we’re chancing the game.
