It probably is. But I'm not sure what the point is.

Get him out now then it gives a new manager time to get the club ready for league 2

No point sacking him now, might as well see this season out and get someone in then. If he stays next season he could see his double promotion with Livingstone being eclipsed by two relegations with Bradford and non league will be the end of us.

I'm not a kneejerk sack the manager sort but even though we can mathematically survive, it looks completely beyond the manager and team, so Hopkin can leave now.

We need to look to being in league 2 next season and start planning an immediate return with a new manager who can use the last part of the season to gauge who he wants and who he doesn't. Maybe we'll get a new manager bounce o_O

Hopkin is on a 2 year contract, can City afford to sack him and the backroom staff.
2 million loss already, personally i don't think it will happen.

If we can secure our preferred replacement then sack him now. Either we pull off a miracle and stay up or worst case scenario the new manager can assess his squad for next season and prepare. No point doing it now though if we can't get in a manager we want.

Can we financially afford to sack Hopkin?

£2 million debts, inevitable decline in ST and a January transfer window that stunk of financial prudence

No. This isn’t his squad and I’ll judge him at January 2020.

Not to say he is innocent at the moment. Where those December performances have gone, who knows??! But this squad just aren’t up for it and it’s them I point the figure at.

    Oh, and Edin the Twit!!!*

True but he decided the little budget available was better spent on Anderson,Clarke etc....

Kind of agree. However I would say the end of September 2019. If we are relegated to League 2 and by then are not in contention for promotion he should go. Similarly if we survive, yet are in the bottom five in League 1 he should go.

Any replacement manager should have time to assess the squad and determine what additions are necessary and supplement the squad.

Leaving it to January is too late.

Society today, generally does like to point the finger, but pointing the finger at Hopkin is simply not the answer.

It's the players who are to blame, not him. No manager in the world could do any better than Hopkin with what he's 'inherited' let's not forget that.
