Hopkin must take full blame for his failure, Blaming Edin who left months ago is like blaming your ex wife because your new one is crap at BJs

 

I'm not sure that is the analogy I would use

 

Total defeatism on here. Things look very bad but there are still plenty of points to,play for. It would be stupid to sack the manager now. He has to finish the season whatever the outcome and then address it.

It's stupid to say we're definitely down - I don't see how it's stupid to say the manager should go.

At this stage, we can't change the playing staff - that's a fact - so what we need is tactical competency, and that's not what we're getting from Hopkin.

Hopkin genuinely believes tactics don't matter, he's said as such after certain games - he's blamed defending, individual performances, and the players letting themselves down.

Unfortunately, that's overly simplistic.

Hopkin's inability to shoulder some of the blame - despite restraining us today with just ONE up front against ten men - combined with an unwillingness to switch tactics when we embarrassed ourselves at VP against a piss poor Fleetwood side - are examples of Hopkin costing us points when another manager, with better understanding of how tactics can affect games, could have at least attempted to go win the game with more aggressive tactics.

Sorry, but we need to nail our colours to the mast here - how are we going to end the season? Super attacking, trying to put teams on the back foot? Super aggressive, trying to hassle other teams and eak out points? Or just meekly plod on with one up front week in, week out, struggling to score, and relying far too much on individuals who will not be here next season?

 

I have never taken to him as a manager, much as I never took to Peter Taylor.
He should have gone after his clueless performance against Fleetwood for me

 

Whilst not disagreeing with a lot of what you say i feel it’s his recruitment that is to blame at least for the last few months. We have a team of midfielders who in the main are decent but we have no width and no strength at the back and front. Today thought it seems we lacked desire which is unforgivable. But I still think Hopkin needs to be allowed to try and put it right

 

He should be sacked for bringing Clarke back, full stop.

 

Are the 29 who have so far voted to stick with him on drugs. Jesus Christ wake up people. He is utterly clueless and way out of his depth. Why do accept failure?

 

You were the one who failed to see what Edin was up to, criticising supporters who didn’t back Edin, look how that turned out.
Hopkins is tactically clueless, with zero game management skills, he needs to go now, not in another 3 months when we’ve been relegated to L2. Change now, give a new manager a chance to stop the rot, worst case scenario time to prepare for L2.
