A few things stick in my mind. Complete strangers at Kings Cross station recognising the Claret & Amber, and saying well done. An interview on Chelsea TV by a rather loud woman complaining they had been beaten by a team from Hogwarts. The expression of disbelief on the face of Phil Parkinson. The quality of our goals. Etc Etc. .....

Brilliant day will never forget it .

After the game I sat at a bus stop waiting for some friends when the poshest Chelsea fan sat next to me congratulated our achievement then said " I have to comment I was a little upset by your chaaaaanting , mourinho was right your fans are ( he spelt it out) S H I T E " made me chuckle

Great day all round had a few to many beers though.

Everything about that day was magical. I doubt there will be another to beat It, although I live in hope. I occasionally watch it back again. For about three weeks afterwards I watched it every day!

I wish I'd had your confidence. At 2-0 down I thought we were going to get a pasting!

    Don't be a boring get.
Storing up wonderful memories is an essential part of life, and this was right up there with the best.

As you say, all of the goals were terrific. But for me it's the last one. So many good aspects. The way Yeates' plays it in to Stead's feet and just keeps on running in, knowing that Stead will get it back to him. The way Stead holds it for just long enough to get Yeates in position and then squirts out a sublime pass with backspin on, which Yeates' then dinks over the keeper. It's poetry in motion!

It tops Villa away for me. Probably because Villa were on a poor run of form and so I quietly believed, from the evidence of the home leg, that we'd finish on top.
But there was no single molecule of me that thought we'd get anything other than a severe thrashing at Chelsea, let alone score four and beat them by two goals. To be the only team to win at Stamford Bridge all season; to do what teams in the Champions League couldn't do, still astonishes me just thinking about it.
That second half is by a country mile the best and most unlikely half of football I've ever been at, and I can't really imagine what would top it.

    This.

It was an exquisite goal, worthy of the greatest teams and players that the beautiful game has seen. But more than that, this was our team beating one of the best teams in the world. We did it, not with a backs to the wall performance with desperate defending or flukey goals, but with great play and top quality goals, topped off with that crowning moment right in front of us.

In all the years I have followed City this, for me, was the finest match I have seen. Not the greatest in terms of achievement (that, for me, would be Villa to reach the League Cup Final, followed by Wolves to get to the Premier League), but in terms of performance, and what we were up against, this was it.

When future books come to be written, about Bradford City's history, the 2010s will make for an interesting chapter. It will be a tale of a Bradford City making great achievements and a tale of a Bradford City imploding on itself, a tale of two Cities:
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times,
it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness,
it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity,
it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness,
it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair,
we had everything before us, we had nothing before us,
we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way.
    Charles Dickens

It was a thing of beauty indeed. All I hoped for was that we wouldn't get embarrassed and that we might score a goal. Chelsea were sweeping all before them at that point, in the premiership and Europe. It was the start of the end of Mourinho's tenure at Chelsea too.
