Im not a conspiracy theorist but something tells me refs dont like bradford. Was clearly offside, we got yellow cards for nothing, they did some dodngy tackles and got a free kick for it, we had some decent tackles that ended up as fouls. I think city should appeal with the FA its disgusting.

 

If you play a team offside and it's not given, it's not our fault. Arsenal won leagues doing it.

 

Of course the whole footballing world despises City.

 

Agreed, though you need to stop losing first given the run we’ve been on and they’ve done that - very unexpectedly - today against the highest scorers in the division, on their own pitch.

Caddis seems a welcome addition, though I can’t believe one player alone means suddenly the team put in a much better performance collectively. Makes our position even more annoying.

 

I don't think it's a conspiracy but the ref gave us nothing today. Happy with the chances we created, they had one shot on target.

 

That's because we kept our shape really well and defended as a team - we didn't give them chance to create anything.

 

I'd argue as a defender you think if a player is behind me they must be offside and if there isn't anyone there it runs through to the keeper, so you can t always say should have been as it's not always black and white

 

Toney's goal looked well off side on IFollow and to lose 2 points because of it was hard to take, great battling performance, all we ask for as fans.

Good point, build on it now against Adlershot with a win. Need to build momentum and confidence, as it's not to late yet.

 

That ball in from Cadiss with around 10 minutes to go just wanted anyone to touch it, right across the area about 2 foot high peach of a cross.

 

So once again Hopkin and City are the victim of a questionable decision from officials.
Hopkin has had terrible luck in that regard since his arrival it has happened nearly every match

 

Their earpieces weren't working when Hopkin wanted to make a sub, you couldn't make it up.

I’m looking at the freeze frame earlier in the thread. Obviously irrelevant where Toney is when receiving the ball, but for an EFL assistant to be fully 5 yards behind play (at least) when they are supposed to stay with our last man - to make exactly these sorts of decisions - isn’t good enough.

I’m usually supportive of the officials generally, but I’m struggling to come up with a reason why he is where he is to make (or indeed not make as it turned out) such a key call - particularly if it was a long pass as is being suggested.

 

Let’s not blame officials for everything.

Second half today. A few weeks ago we would have probably wilted but today we seemed to want to put in the shift and do the hard things. It just goes to show the difference. Peterborugh could call on 4 quality strikers today. We have one at a push.

Seen a few people say points are not enough at this stage, I agree but away from home I think they are. We must win our home games and make VP a tough place to come. Then the odd point or win away adds to the tally.

I’d say we should be enjoying that tonight. Few results went our way late on and we must beat Oxford now next week. A side just outside the drop.

First up Aldershot and a win and a clean sheet would be nice. Salford stuffed them today. Hope we can do same.
