It has nothing to do with being in a relegation fight (if I take your post literally). Hes seeking a comparison of today's game to some last season to understand which were worse.

 

I get what he's asking but why the comparison? We have a completely different squad of players and management, last season is irrelevant.

 

Because we were in the Top 6, playing at home in seven matches worse than we did in the second half

Assuming the divisional skill levels are roughly the same, this gives us some hope that we're better than the eventual relegation teams and can get better when the injured come back

Did you think we were relegation candidates this time three years ago, when we had 10pts from 10 matches as well?

 

What I am saying is the way we went about the game today was crazy, from the first minute when we launched the first long ball everyone in the stadium could see that it was food and drink for the Rovers central defenders, so as professional footballers I'd suggest they should try to find a team mate with a pass, you know something they practice most days at Rawdon Meadows but we didn't.
I hope very much when some of our better players come back from injury we can get it down and play some football, but lets not forget these better footballers were playing at the start of this season and results were no better.
Yes criticism is easy, so is trying to take any positives certainly from the first half, as I posted better second half and that was mainly IMO to the introduction of Payne, who could not get a start in the original starting 11.

 

I think he's trying to understand if he was as critical of those performances as the one today. Let's be honest if there was a difference were arguing about shades of crapness!

How anyone can defend today's game as a whole is beyond me, we have players coming back from injury let's hope they can make the required difference until January, do we seriously believe (sorry I have to bring his name up again) Edin will pay good money for players who can guarantee us league one survival, time will tell.
