Like I said, it’s a last chance saloon situation. Failure for him to act upon his promises this time, combined with reducing ST numbers will probably see the club die on or around the time the VP lease runs out, so it’s a 3 year ticking time bomb to oblivion.

I agree. Rupp has to do something this week, otherwise they may well have to announce ST sales at the end of this week when the first deadline is reached, and it is not going to be pretty and may well discourage others from buying before the next deadline.

I would suspend ST sales until he has time to install a DOF type which in my view can’t be rushed unless it has being going on behind the scenes. Rupp needs help in this department and needs a series of conversations with football ppl to actually know what he is looking for. He cannot leave that to Sparks under no circumstances. Time to put up or shut up for me.

this is my massive worry, that the appointment will be left to Sparks alone to make. So far he hasn’t managed to make a decent long term footballing appointment so why would this one be any different?

I think the first deadline for seat retentions should stay which will allow fans who want to get behind the club to obtain better seats they may not previously have had access to.
The price deadline probably needs to be extended but by doing so it prevents the club from setting their playing budget until later in the summer transfer window as fans will leave it until the very last minute to renew.

Well your first point about existing fans is that it is speculative. We are looking at thousands not renewing and rumours are that it is much worse than anyone thinks. Yes it might allow a few maybe hundreds, but in know way compensate for the thousands who are not, plus the gaining of better seats doesn’t actually bring in more money.

Your second point is valid, but what is important is that they maximise the playing budget. Maybe Rupp will set the budget early as possible and top up if necessary.

I think we should give fans like yourself a special award, like painting your seat gold and giving you a special badge so everyone can see every game how much of a super fan you are.

We all know what the end result will be :(
This letter was put out because of season ticket sales.
Why simply not put the deadline to end if May where we can all see Rupps masterplan but it wont happen.
We will probably end up with a DOF on the cheap though and may come back withca little reduced rent agreement and that will be that.

I really hope im wrong but how many years of empty promises ?????

I still can't get my head around the need for a protest!
We're a well run club, financially stable! If we were in Readings or Bury's shoes then I agree a protest is needed, but we're not.
I agree the football side has been crap but in all my time supporting city we've been around where we are now. Support is needed not the other way round with all this bollocks.
Sparks has employed some managers that most fans were happy with it just hasn't worked out, one time hopefully it will.
The protest was utter garbage as was the bloke giving out leaflets which I read the first paragraph then returned to him.

I agree with the 90 year old fan who called in on the radio! Get behind the team they need our support.

Because without the planned protest Sparks would not have gone begging to Rupp cap in hand asking for a meeting in Germany.
Please don't knock the ones that felt the need to protes, they are just as much a part of this club as folk like yourself. When you have season ticket holders of 20/30+ years saying they are not looking to renew we should be asking why? We are not a well run club, the owner has admitted it in his statement and apology to the fans. Now if that means his admission of guilt will see change then it's the fans that like the independant supporters group and the non renewers that have helped necessitate that, not the fans than renew regardless.

That's not a dig at you in any way btw. The club needs fans that are loyal like yourself, essentially the lifeblood of the club.

The do nothing, but accept failing mediocrity, is a reason to express serious unhappiness. The footballing side has since Rupp took over, been in slow but significant decline. I think we have all been getting behind the team for ages. You don’t get 15,000 Season Tickets sold, unless there is support.
We seem to be an adequately run club away from the footballing side (which is the primary product). There are regular reports of new sponsorship ‘partners’ and the club has achieved its financially stable, self sufficient, aim.Despite that the football has often been very disappointing and sometimes dire. Yesterday was a breath of fresh air. Yet it is often one step forward, two back. I have little confidence we can even get such a performance every second game.

lt is realising the potential on the pitch, which is sadly failing, which needs to be achieved.

Said this on Thursday. Nothing has changed.

A decent tangible act would be to alter the deadlines for the Season Ticket Early Bird offer.

Perhaps extend it a couple of weeks at the least.

Another option, to demonstrate goodwill would be an ‘interim offer’, after the end of the Early Bird offer. Say £272 for an adult and pro rata on other Season Tickets until the end of June, prior to going up to the full amount.

That figure would be the equivalent of a £1 a match.

It would allow the club to put in place change, and also for Supporters to see what is actually happening.

At the moment it is promises, but they can always be lost, or be watered down.

Ppl change their mind all the time. BCAFC will be wanting ST holders to change their mind about renewing? Jewel might just do that who knows.
As an aside why did he say that?

I don’t know why, assume he was asked the direct question but can’t remember the context. Think it was either T&A or Y Post

I’ve no idea why people are mocking the protests, well done to those who took part. I get why people are worried about the lack of renewals, we all are but without change the renewals will be at an all time low in the 21st century. The protest has already brought about a statement, but as we saw with previous statements until it is backed up with action it is simply not enough. The ISG want more and that is in all supporters interests so well done to them, ignore the silly jibes, although they’ll deny it in the future when positive change is made as a result.

As for the T & A belittling it, I’ll never read it again and will be unfollowing Parker as a result, even if he didn’t do the article he’s pinned his colours to the mask in recent weeks regardless.

    Keep up the good work.

It just seems strange. Nothing happening 3 years ago as I can remember. So a statement like that out of blue seems strange. It might have been as a manager on the sacking of one of our many managers taking part in the “managers revolving door” syndrome.

Couple of mentions above about us being a well-run club. Sustainability etc.

As a reminder, we've gone from the cusp of promotion to the Championship to floundering at the bottom of L2.

We've also had around (I'm guessing) £3m of McBurnie transfer money in that period. No 'sustainable' club without that.

    WE ARE NOT WELL RUN.
