I think it was trying to keep the players in the team who had done well in the last few games but at the same time we can't afford to have Wright on the bench so 1 of Wright, Gilliead and Oduor were going to have to play out of position. I can sort of see where he's coming from but at half time that was the chance to accept it was a mistake and put it right by taking off Oduor for Richards then give it 15 minutes before making further changes if that doesn't improve anything.

 

And tonight what do those whom used the weather as defence for the low turn out against Salford, reason with?

The continuous decline in the attendance must be a real concern for the hierarchy and ultimately, those within the support base whom do turn up.

I don't have a clue how the 12.7k sales will hold up for next season. That said, it's looking ominous

A draw was a fair result but I agree with most on here that keeping Gilliead at LWB when we only had 1 other recognized CM was baffling. I assumed Wright was playing LWB when I saw the lineup. Even more puzzling when Richards was on the bench!

Agree that Wilson looked lively and a decent impact from Chapman and Smith. Credit for GA for acknowledging his *@?$ up and making the changes early enough to have an impact. Let’s hope we see a return to the better standard we’ve seen in the previous games at the weekend.

 

Can't afford to have Wright on the bench? Do you mean because we are paying so much for his services that it would be seen as a waste of money if he isn't starting?

Around me in the lower kop against Sutton was pretty well attended. I looked round the ground and to me it seemed well attended than we are seeing in the midweek games

 

I've never ever bought into the narrative that 'thousands will stay away next season' every time we're not promoted by Christmas - but honestly, Dave, this time I really, really do.

I was one who said that the weather was only a small reason for the Salford attendance, that due to the fact I’m one of those not bothering with Tuesday night games atm. Not been to one since Middlesbrough in the cup and have no regrets. Whether I pay £10 or £1000 for a season ticket I go to enjoy the experience and be entertained, I’ve watched most of the Tuesday games on iFollow and it’s safe to say it is not meeting the criteria. I couldn’t care less if I’m not considered loyal enough, I’ve a lot more going on than I did 5-10 years ago and the product at City is far worse than then. It’s the club who needs to take responsibility for the empty seats and do something to win them back.

OK Dave but to me the Sutton game on the Saturday seemed well attended than most I have seen in recent months.

 

That's the obvious worry. I very likely will get a ST but that's part of the habitual time I like with my son.

All in all, going to VP is not a great thing like a nice meal, pub, museums.

I know you are a loyal supporter @WilsdenBantam . And ultimately your point of being entertained, is an essential ingredient to turning up.

 

If a different offer happens to come up in the Summer, we'll likely not renew.

I'd happily move out of the area at this point, so let's see what happens.

If we're still very much Bradford-based, yeah, we probably will renew because it's a family thing, but I won't expect anything out of a club owned by Rupp and run by Sparks.

How poor was Cook tonight never won a header hardly won a challenge slow to the ball. He has deservedly had the plaudits over the last few years for his scoring exploits but tonight he was atrocious

 

I didn't go because I was at an OMD concert in Leeds, otherwise I would have gone. Not read any of the earlier thread. Was this a point gained or 2 dropped?
