The latter is income generated from all sources ie commercial, ticket sales transfers, the operating income is revenue MINUS running costs and depreciation ( of assets) . That’s how I read it.

I went into the interview open minded and tbh, I didn't feel it was a car crash but a reflection on what could be said, especially around the off field situation and Rupp.

I haven't responded to the interview until this morning, reading comments on here and further afield. At the moment, all I see is both the club and particularly, some of the fanbase going round and round in circles. If any of you readers, want to voice and potentially be heard, I recommend

It's a platform that I believe has the potential to create change, whether that's greater transparency, a direct platform to our leaders or a concerted effort to demonstrate.

In closing , I have to say that Sparks interpretation of mediocre left me a bit bamboozled. Beyond that much of a muchness.

It's a really good question but not one he can answer because he doesn't know. He isn't planning for the scenario of being in league one next year or a season ahead. Its taking all the effort to make things work this season. The lack of a longer term plan is very clear.

When Gent was asked about a recruitment strategy he waffled on and then said something around GA wanting experience in the spine of the team. That's not a strategy, that's a tactical approach based on how the current manager wants to play. The one key problem is that the club isn't looking more than a few months ahead.

Where did anyone , let alone me think or say any of this shit show is supporters fault. I will however be critical of some supporters who think last nights show was going to be some revelational exercise. You can tell by some of the comments that was some supporters expectations. It was never going to happen, once we knew the owner wasn’t present.

If people couldn’t work that out for themselves in advance it’s really a sad state of affairs .

Is right now the lowest the club has ever been? (not just in terms of league position, but a combination of league, overall fan happiness, etc).

I'm in my early 30s and have supported City all my life. Right now feels like a new low for the club. Way worse than the two times we dropped to League 2 and the bad seasons before Parky first came in.

I just have a feeling of hopelessness for the club. I've never felt so negative about the club I support.

Precisely Dave. A non event, quite often a word salad and totally meaningless due to the owners absence.

That isn't going to happen @simons (woking bantam)@simons (woking bantam) Rupp has told him what he expects from Ryan and he's delivering and if a promotion comes along that's an added bonus.
We as fans (customers) to Rupps business need to hear his thoughts of why/how we have fallen from our previous status when he bought the club to where we find ourselves now under his custodianship.

    Just listened to it, blimey.

If the goal really is just sustainability and not to get relegated, why has a top 3, or top 7, budget been authorised?

The fact they are “ new” and probably “ saved” the club from large debt or collapse, then of course they will be seen as attractive. No question. Do you have any idea how much they paid for the club and its debts (£3m in debt due at the time of sale) . It would be interesting to find out? Maybe our Carlisle friend knows @Bluebry@Bluebry ?

I believe Gibb buying the stadium was a big part of us getting through the second administration, some seem to enjoy making Gordon Gibb out as the bad guy but he really isn't and wasn't at the time.

I think the agents point related to player transfers, but I may be wrong. Certainly the sale of a business would involved consultants and 3rd parties though.

That's what he meant by “agents” I think, apologies if I’m wrong.

Spot on. Without the owner being there it’s a non event.

Don't worry he knows where the ignore button is, let's say for some reason he doesn't like being challenged by fellow posters.

What was the lowest point for the club in your opinion?

One of the things Ryan said made perfect sense to most, that you get involved with your landlord, unfortunately that was never going to happen whilst Julian was a part of the club in any sort of position, I would have thought that would have been one of Rupp/Rahic first ports of call the guy who owns the ground and sweet talk him into maybe taking up some sponsorship.
Although over the 25 year lease Gibb/pension fund have got way above what they originally paid for the stadium we have to play some where and that would also come at a cost and I doubt would give us the capacity we have at Valley Parade.

Exactly! It's totally contradictary and doesn't add up. I'm coming to the conclusion that Sparks knows he has massively under performed and under delivered and is trying to deflect blame. It will hopefully be his undoing.

Memory is hazy, one was a public meeting and fundraiser at StGeorges Hall . Stafford H involved from memory , late 60’s perhaps and the other a meeting held in the stand at VP.

@Bronco@Bronco , can you fill in the blanks, I remember both of them for sure as I went.

I've joined the independent group and emailed the link out to other fans but you seriously believe Rupp is running his asset into the ground, good job Hughes wasn't in on the secret when he had us so near getting us promoted last season.
