All over the place at the back. Quality additions at CB and Left Wing Back are essential. We need to strengthen midfield and up front too. Quality not quantity is what’s needed this Jan.

 

Since GA come in you can’t fault the players workrate which has clearly improved.
However the quality in play has dropped since Hughes we are nowhere near as composed on the ball or have control. Quality is terrible and I’ve seen all of GA games.

 

They look poor at the back too, tbf.

 

Looked a dive to me, he really gave it a good leap to go down.

 

Maybe a goal down but very much in this game.

 

FFS. We can't keep wasting free kicks like that

Our set pieces are dire

 

As long as he makes a challenge somewhere near the ball it can't be a red card in the penalty area.

 

Surely we have someone in the squad who can take better free kicks and corners than Smallwood?

 

Have we no-one better than Smallwood for set pieces?????

 

Our set pieces are awful.

 

Similar to last years game, they are just leaving 2 on the half way line and looking to counter over the top.

 

Just abut my only criticism of GA in his short tenure is that he still has Smallwood on set-pieces. Fcuking awful at best

 

Crewe passing the ball well.

Our hoofs in the general direction of Cook and Smith are all well and good but there comes a time when a bit of quality into the box is required and we've had none of that.

Chris Long always seems to have a good game against us. I seem to recall his spat with Mark Hughes last season too, a bit of devil about him
