Weather will be fine.

And I can’t believe I’m gonna say this but I hope it’s off.
It’s not a good time to be playing Stockport without Walker or Pattison. Let’s wait until we have strengthened in January and have one of the above back fit.

 

You could be right, looking at all the models so far there is a front coming in thats going to bring heavy rain on Saturday, hopefully not but its not looking good.

 

Obviously it’s the referees decision whether the game is on but it won’t be a bad thing if it’s off as we can rest up and throw everything at beating Crewe which is far more important than trying to beat a team who are already 17 points in front of us at the half way stage.

If we have any thoughts of promotion then we should be looking forwards to getting more points on the board and taking 3 off Stockport would be a huge morale boost to the club. I say bring it on.

 

Absolutely. We should have taken all 3 at their place so bringing them back here shouldn't hold any fears.

Yes they will be a strong, well drilled and confident unit but so are we and if we can regain the defensive strength and composure we lost a little against Morecambe there's no reason we should be confident of a positive result ourselves.

To be honest I’m more bothered if Saturday 3pm games are off because I hate Tues night games.
A Friday night game in December when it’s pissing down is even worse.

 

Hope it's off - just torn a calf muscle which has laid me off - so that's me, Walker and Pattison out!!

 

I'm very much a traditionalist, Saturday 3pm kick-off then out for a few jars afterwards.
Stick the Premiership, regular Saturday lunch, tea-time, Sundays and Monday evening kick-offs.
Championship would suit me fine, if City ever get their act together!

 

Exactly, a Saturday fixture forms the basis of my social activities that day with the pre/post match activities. So when those fixtures are called off (often prematurely) it does leave a void for the day.
I don’t give a toss if a Tuesday or any other midweek evening game is off because there’s usually no time before the game to meet up and have drinks / food and usually it’s work the next day.

 

I’ve always really liked midweek night games. Saw some crackers at Upton Park in the 70s and plenty of good ones at VP. Can’t beat the atmosphere of a night game under floodlights.

 

Yeah absolutely you can’t beat the buzz of an electric atmosphere of a big night game.
We’ve had the Arsenal, Villa, Leeds, Everton games midweek that spring to mind but Stockport County in league 2 doesn’t have the same appeal.
