For sure he has. He was the chairman that well overspent and lead to their 12 point deduction for FFP because he tried fiddling the books on how he bought the ground for £61m and the points deduction relegated them. Had Barry Bannon on 20K a week in L1, just has daft money to spend.

My pal and his 2 kids have STs and spend just over a grand a year on them and the fact he wants to raise prices again has just annoyed the fanbase. He paid the HMRC bill very last minute. But they get pretty huge crowds, think there were 29,000 there last week, and there's no money. They got £8m for taking part in the Champ, spent barely a penny in the summer but nobody knows where all the money goes.

Chansiri had the whole Darren Moore episode in the summer and it's just going downhill quickly. He wants out, but doesn't want the club to be a failure on his books apparently. Investors don't want to work with him, so he'll have to sell but because he does everything publicly, potential buyers are seeing the sh*t show he is leaving and won't buy it for anywhere near its worth. He'll have to bite and go at some point but he seems like he'll toy with them as long as he can.

His word this week - "You have no right to ask me to leave,” he wrote. “I am the one who saved the club and spent the money for the club, I am the one who needs to pay around £2m on average every month [to keep the club afloat]. Some fans need to have more respect for owners of clubs and not be so selfish.”

How? He could have been offered the post after second interview and then he realised he had a family ! I can’t believe a manager of men being so naive with regards to his family circumstances. It’s frankly very very poor. Anyone wanting to offer him future positions will look at his “ form” and think . sod that no interview, application in the bin!

 

Going for a job without looking at the potential sacrifices and impact on his life what a div.

If he can’t even get that right how could he help organise our shit show

Rowett would be a fantastic appointment.

 

If we are to go down the route of a manager who knows this league and has had success with promotions, I think I would probably have to say Graham Alexander from the list of unemployed, now that Cowley has turned it down

 

Rowett would indeed be a very good appointment, is he a realistic option though, probably not.

I would definitely take Ainsworth too

Like Richardson but if he were interested I think Ainsworth might be a good fit

 

Rokerite may be right that he doesn't want to relocate the family again as they are settled and at an important age school wise. fair Enough. I moved from Bradford to Keighley at a key age and lost all my friends. Vowed never to do that to my kids and haven't.

Cowley will have known their thoughts before the interviews though !

Nah. In most cases, what's said or leaked to the press shouldn't be taken literally and is spin.

For 'family reasons' read 'he's thought better of it and realises he'll get a better offer, at a better run club instead'. By citing family reasons, its a catch all that avoids him having to sling mud at the club. Prospective employers won't give a monkeys about a change of heart, with 'family reasons' being put in the public domain.

The sad reality is that he's thought better of it, having had an opportunity to have a good look at how we're set up.

 

Not sure about his style of football, couldn't care less whether he is miserable or not, he has good track record in lower leagues.

Gary Neville said sacking him was his worst mistake as owner of Salford. Strangely sacking him when they were unbeaten in the league.

I think he might be the most realistic option now.

Cannot see the likes of Rowett and Ainsworth being interested, although would be good if they were, especially Rowett

 

If Cowley has had a look and believes he can do better, Rowett and Ainsworth will certainly expect to do better.

 

Perhaps his daughter is an Uddersfield Town fan.

As myself Kev you've been round the block long enough to know Lincoln would make known to certain individuals there will be a position coming up shortly, so even though he may have interviewed and convinced Ryan he is the man for the job he's playing the game just as Williams did.
I'll be disappointed if Lincoln don't announce him and their kid as the next Lincoln manager and assistant, as you say he knows where Bradford is on the map and its just a smoke screen IMO with regards his family comment, time will tell.
