Was the club shop under the control of the club when James Mason was here, if not he would have very little say in what they stocked and how often the shop restocked, the likes of shirts which I'd have thought we our best sellers ?.

An' what about the old 'Sunvisor strip' (1970's style with sommat like 'Shas and Davey' )? But this time an Amber background with Bradford City in Claret (The 2 words being separated by a sizeable '*@?$' ). ;)

The problem with selling clothing, is just that, in the UK
In order to compete, such items would 'need' to be Imports - Yet WHO will pay M&S prices for Primark quality ?

The old dears who buy clothes in M&S ………………….. you seen their quality recently. Florence & Fred at Tesco are far better quality than M&S

People don't mate, most young women will buy at Primark at Primark prices, wear once or twice then bin it.

That I hadn't factored in as the production costs for fairly small runs can be a bit steep, if the shop could market it on this basis it could be cost effective.

If you really want to see what can be done, have a look at the WHU shop.
Helps when you have owners with a retail background.
Lots of "cheap crap" as well as some pretty decent stuff. Kids buy piles of the crap btw

Easily done, you get involved with other clubs and outlets, buy as a group, standard products with varying logos.

Being a semi old fart I used to get all my reasonable quality stuff from M&S but for the last two years the men’s section has shrunk to a fecking cubby hole on the 15th floor, the prices have flown up yet the quality is now dire.

There isn’t much left to choose from any more. (Don’t mention Greenwood’s anyone ...Please)

Where does a man about town go these days for his Ostrich skin jackets and puff adder belts???

It really depends on what you want and are prepared to pay? If it is cheap end, then Primark, and the supermarkets have it covered. I get some stuff on line, which is reasonable quality, you can also check out E-Bay which often has last ‘seasons’ stock at knock down prices or TKK Maxx, some stuff is ‘interesting’ and I really would not bother, but there are also some bargains.

Went into through the Club Shop to collect Season Tickets today. Small area, mainly with clothing, I noticed they had ‘mugs’ nothing else caught my eye.

I got the Annual as a kid for Xmas ! Brilliant to see that again. Bronco Layne was a great watch for for budding young "Cowboys" in in the 60s.
