Next manager

They are dropping down the leagues because their good times are long gone. Nobody else seems to want the Cowley brothers because their football is dire yet our fans want to settle with them for whatever reason

Their best days are still to come. Danny was forty-five on Sunday (Nicky is younger) and I hope he gets a belated birthday present within the next couple of days.
The Cowleys will lead Bradford City not only to League One but to the League One play-offs within three seasons.
They just need the chance and nights like tonight will be no more than a painful memory.

We need a football set up that signs a smaller but higher quality/experience squad instead of the unbalanced and bloated squad we currently have? Cook is out of form and who can replace him? How many centre half's and crap do you need to be to not get a game- Tompkinson ?

3 weeks should be enough time to work through the process and select a manager. I'd hope we have one in place by the weekend but I fear we have no real idea what we want.

 

Any truth in takeover rumours will inevitably delay the process much longer than usual

 

I still don't think we need to panic and make an appointment right now.

Last night was awful, but let's see what happens at the weekend. Get him back on the sideline and let's get firing again.

 

It is getting to that point where you've surely interviewed everyone you need to and it's time to make a decision. There's weighing up your options and there's being unsure about any. As said, unless there genuinely is a takeover in place.

 

Nothing wrong in being thorough and let’s face it we haven’t suffered until last night.

That's true, but:

a. There's nothing to suggest that talk of a takeover is anything other than baseless speculation on this board, and
b. Even if there is a takeover in the works, the process can take weeks, even months to conclude.

My sense is, we simply don't know what we're looking for.

 

Not sure you can read too much into that. They are usually pretty quiet after a defeat.

 

Maybe a takeover process has been ongoing for months and we are close to completing?

 

Yeah, maybe tbf. Although if so, I'd have expected the club to keep Hughes for a little longer. I suppose time will tell.

 

Think we have all pretty much said for a while - a new direction needed at all levels - so let's hope this comes to fruition sooner rather than later
