From his interview of being open to players and trying to be one of them still sounds like he’d be a good assistant-in a similar way to how Stuart has done well as assistant but not always as a manager

This is a very good point that I hadn’t previously considered. It is a gamble but, if he did well managing us then he potentially puts his foot part way up a very lucrative ladder. Whereas, if he steps down now, he’d almost certainly have to start much lower down. I guess it may depend on just how desperate he is to continue playing for as long as possible.

 

Really reassuring in some respects… i just worry about the interviewers and the questions asked.

 

Backtrack to 1982

Owner (Bob Martin) - Only cared about syphoning off money
CEO - (Bob Martin ??) - Knew diddly squat about anything but pet food and pet toys
Football Manager (McFarland) - Absolutely still learning on the job.

1987
Owner - Jack Tordoff - Only really cared about cars
CEO - Jack Tordoff - Only cared about saving money
Football Manager - Terry Dolan - Learning on the Job

 

And in this world of three year contracts, he could end up financially better off as manager.

I have conducted numerous well over 10 in my career and been interviewed again on numerous times resulting in positive and not so positive outcomes.

I am not on the panel at City unfortunately so you don’t need to worry about my experience.

Ive read several posts telling us if my Auntie had bollox she'd be my Uncle.
The rub of the green generally evens out over a season, Wimbledon hit the post, we hit the post against Swindon.
Charlie Austin missed a good chance, thats his finishing deficiency not a stick to decry KM with.
We'll get beat many times, and may get beat Saturday. However success is quantified over many games, not 90mins. I very much like what I see and hear from KM's camp.
Truman and sellars did well and hit a great streak at the on-set of their short tenure. However I could see the team was still very laboured, just same old, and that it would be short lived.
Like you, I sense something far more fundamental with strong foundation brewing.

I have, we have an owner who has the club in the black, and a competitive budget, in a world where 99% of assets are leased not owned. From that perspective the only reason for failure is the manager, their recruitment and their tactics.

Any fool can hoodwink an interview panel, even if Fergie were on it.

 

Well when you put it like that makes you wonder why any sector bothers with interviews at all…

 

See what you fail to understand and blinded by Sparks nonsense is that even with us in the black, we have shite players, own nothing, 18k fans and still going backwards.
