However, my guess, is the result at Newport delayed the inevitable.
Get nothing at Tranmere and lose to Swindon then the club will be left with little option.
In which the grumbling voices of dissent heard yesterday will nothing in comparison to next week.

This is Ryan Spark's problem. I can't imagine Stefan Rupp entertaining the idea of funding any severance package for Mark Hughes and his backroom team out of his own pocket.

Unless we actually in a relegation battle, which we aren't at the moment (but maybe by the end of October) I think we will blunder on hoping for a turnaround.

If sparks and Rupp can’t hear the depressingly obvious boos at full time, then they can all get in the same car with Hughes and suck off into the funset together.

This is the problem - there’s no one telling them it’s not working (other than the fans). MH tells RS all is going to click, RS tells SR that season ticket sales are rosey and we’re not losing money. A complete deluded circle.

 

There is no need for a lump sum package as we can just pay his salary till the contract ends, Sooner the better for the club and a proper CEO would know this and end all our misery and do what is best for the club

 

For me MH has to go I am one of the optimistic fans but watching yesterday was the final straw in the second half we had at least 8 defensive players on the pitch nobody wants the ball it is booting to watch just can’t be arsed going any more think he has lost the players too but sparks will bootle sacking him he will be here a while yet

 

Beating Newport was the worst result we could have got. He’ll just keep harping back to that for another month and it delays the inevitable.

Somewhere on here discussed how we pay managers off. They don’t get it in a lump sum, but on a monthly basis as they would normally. However, if they get another job, payments cease. In Stuart’s case he might be getting a top up until his contract runs out, which must be nearly finished can’t remember his contract. Adams should be finished as I can’t see Morecambe paying him less, but maybe he told them to pay him less so the City have to top up his pay, he was spiteful when he left

But, if we do that and assume it includes Hodges and Gent, we still then have to find additional money to pay for a new management team for the rest of the season. I don't believe we have the money available for that from this year's budget. Hence why I think we will blunder on.

I agree, if that became a real possibility I'm sure something would be found to mitigate that, I just don't think we are there yet - despite performances and the general football being pretty abject.

I would like to be wrong. I would like an owner that has a passion for the club and has an ambition for it beyond protection of an unwise investment. We don't have that.
