Strategy, vision, the tools to be made available which include recruitment approach, all start at the top. What happens when you let your football manager dictate your strategy? You're back to square one every time the manager is sacked. It's why we keep going round in circles, because Sparks and Rupp have no idea what they're doing on the football side.

When you're repeatedly and systematically failing, accountability goes right to the top.

I have been critical of Halliday in the past but he was probably the only one to come out with any credit. Gave it everything yesterday, especially trying to drive us forward.

I think many fans are using the “c” word again.

    It’s becoming a chore on a matchday.

We spend all week listening to the inane, cliche ridden drivel from press conferences about how together the squad are, how hard they’ve trained and we are determined to get it right etc.which the same fans who clap like seals lap up.
But deep down we know what we are gonna get served up to us.
After a half decent first 20/25 minutes yesterday,we go in front but once they equalised within a couple of minutes did anybody genuinely believe we’d have the nous or the fight to get back in the game?

Even the few who thought we might, surely realised that once the second goes in we might as well not bother with the second half.
And we were right.Absolutely no idea how to get back in to the game and another limp 45 minutes of nothing.
I didn’t boo.I shouted a bit during the game but when the whistle went, just like every game at home this season I just stood up and went home.

Maybe fans like me are the problem.
Fans who go because they’ve been going for donkeys years.
Fans who renew because it’s what my wife and I have done for years on a Saturday.
The club know that there are lots like me who will renew because “its what I do on a Saturday”

The sad thing is,even after yesterday I’ll do it again next Saturday and hope it’s different.

    More fool me.

Any manager with anything about them realise stop Cook we find it hard to score, but up to the goal we played reasonably well and I wasn't surprised we scored first even though it was through a pen.

It is an important game on Tuesday Broncs, but for me yesterday was the big one, to see if we had turned a corner at Newport. Sadly we hadn't, instead we did a U turn.

Halliday has played well through this season.
Which is even more commendable considering the players he has round him

We'll never know how good Harry is as that is obviously the way Hughes wants to defend set pieces/corners, oh for the days of a keeper like Pickford who knocked his own defenders to the ground making sure he got the ball.
Not having coaching badges or playing at semi pro level doesn't lessen the validity of your post my friend although the odd poster or two believe that to be the case.

Yeah, leave at least one on the edge of the box and one near the halfway line.

That's at least 3 opposition players that won't be in the 6 yard box and with the keeper and corner taker they've only 6 outfield players left which immediately makes that area less crowded.

Halliday, is a steady enough player for our current level. He should not be the stand out player though, which he has been the last two home games. Says all you need to know about our current squad, lack leaders and fight through all departments.

Because 50% of the population of Bradford aren’t interested in football at all.
A large proportion of those that are interested support other neighbouring bigger clubs.
What’s left is what we have now and we are lucky to have it. If we are not careful that will decline also despite the low prices.

Good question @SteveC@SteveC I personally though we were looking good up to the penalty, maybe the players thought at 1-0 we would go on to win the game easily, we know the next few minutes after you score you need to be aware and not fall into this its easy mode, and what do we do allow a player to go from left to right on the edge of our box and no-one closing him down, that was fair comment Hughes made with regards their first goal, Sunday morning defending, and what can we say about the other two, socking defending.

Many of the younger asians are interested in football, not at our level though. If our product was better, who knows.
Its not and rarely has been.

I agree with regards having a go but as I posted we did that for 23 minutes and went ahead from the penalty, they score 3 minutes later and the players go into the comfort mode, it has to be the mentality Hughes drills into them, we heard his halftime comments against Boro "try and keep it to 1-0 snatch an equaliser" or words to that effect, go to penalties great half time talk Mark, he must have missed how Boro had played us off the park for the first 45 minutes.

Walsalls 2nd win in 17 on the road. Another opponents run we can file in the VP cabinet.

Tranmere probably pencilled in Tuesday night's game weeks ago as the one that will kick start their season.

May be a tad harsh but City had three midgets/lightweights playing behind Cook so leaving the quicker Tulloch and Oduor upfield would make too much sense and Walker is clever enough to win you a cheap free kick.
    Zonal marking, Worra Laff.
