Having just listened to the Hughes post match interview with Jamie he wouldn't inspire me if I was one of his squad. I think his comment about set piece concessions differs from my memory.

 

That's because it's going to be a pointless endeavour.

Half the time he ended up at right back with the impressive Halliday up field. Halliday must miss working with Banks.

 

Yes. The fact we don’t have a backup keeper means he is under no pressure. The whole team training needs looking at. Doesn’t Trueman train the players? Then we have assistant manager. Questions need to be asked.

By default Hughes has.gone back to what did last season with today's line up but lacked the impressive Scott Banks and Romney Crichlow and not fixed the fundamental.issue of a pitifully slow central midfield. Which now.means Andy Cook gets even less chances and at the back we lack any pace whatsoever, Stubbs is painfully slow. And don't get me started on that central midfield, it's always outworked and over run and we always seem to be get beaten to any secondary ball around the centre circle.
That second half today told me the players have had enough. And so have I.

 

My thoughts too mate, seriously considering not bothering next week, can't be arsed. Swindon will tear this gutless bunch a new one (unless there is a new manager/coach in the dugout)
Can't stand much more of this with Hughes in charge.

The top and bottom from me is the club needs a large influx of investment but im afaid we have had no takers apparently, untill that appears or not we are going to sadly struggle, the potential at this club is through the roof far and above the rest in this division thats why i find it so sad and strange that no one as com in and committed

 

Bobby Pointon or Wilson would have offered more in attack than we got from Oduor.

 

I don't think it would be about him being able to handle the job but more about his style not suiting what we need, his success in his short spell at Oldham then at Halifax and now Barrow have all been sides that play counter attacking football. He's probably in a similar type mould to how Adams has got his success.
