Lewis was poor today but he is not the only one. Halliday was the only player who was prepared to put a shift in. Lewis has had his head turned! We should have sold him, he is worthless now!

Its just crying out for fresh ideas from a new managerial team. It is blindingly obvious Hughes isn’t up to it. We need him gone asap. Even an interim manager could lift the place, knowing that dinosaur had departed, while we assess our options. Should be beating bang average teams like Walsall, Harrogate and Grimsby at home. Get out, Hughes.

    Totally agree Steve
Indeed you can only manage successfully with the tools you have but surely that whats sort out the wheat form the chaff and that dictates a good manager and successful one to a not so successful one

We'll beat Tranmere Tuesday night and he'll save his job for another few weeks. Can see him limping along until December.

He needs to go. But then what? The people running this club are clueless on footballing matters. It'll be what, Sparks 5th manager in 3 years?

3 soft goals. Criminal after opening the score to allow a left back to score with his weaker foot from the corner of the box. It wasnt even struck well.

To lose so meekly wasn’t a surprise, it’s the type of football hughes wants us to play. Possession for possessions sake. We have no verve. No thrust. No cutting edge. No tempo to our play. We don’t put teams on the back foot and keep them there. That’s on the manager.
Walsall were patched up. But schooled us.

Draper gave Stubbs as hard a time as I’ve seen in Stubbs’ time at the club. He looks a real threat. Draper will play much higher up the leagues. The type of player we sorely lack.

Platt looks uncomfortable in a possession based team. Lewis should be dealing with all three goals and seems to lack the physicality required at corners. A concern. Halliday was the only shining light, he kept offering and driving down the right. Ridehalgh did not and does not.

We look way off what is required to get out of this division. 10 games in we are 14th. At what point do we pull the plug on hughes tenure?

From what I can see, it is going nowhere.

Draper and Mellon are two players that have crapped on our back line.

Remember Walsall were that stretched with injuries today during the week they were looking at 2 out of contract trialists in training.

And yet still we didn't trouble there defence.
